Verdict
Astral Spirit ended last season with three places efforts in slow-ground handicaps and she’s respected for a yard that won this in 2022. Harswell Duke returned to form with an eyecatching third at Pontefract ten days ago and is a big player if he can build on that, but the one who appeals most is BIG BEAR HUG. Adam West’s C&D winner travelled smoothly for a long way when a good third over 1m2f at Bath last Sunday and looks interesting on this drop back in trip.[David Moon]
