Form & Verdict
Not an instant success over fences but displayed improvement this spring, winning at Hereford and Fakenham (both 2m5f, good); moves up in grade and is 1lb wrong today but has scope for further progress.

Good ground is the key to him; his form had nosedived but he was running much better when hampered late on at the Cheltenham Festival and then came good at Haydock (2m4f, good), prevailing only narrowly but under a confident ride in a strong race (he also won it the season before when staged at Cheltenham); a 4lb rise seems very generous.

Won this race 12 months ago at Cheltenham when 1lb higher so he's dangerously handicapped for his defence; his form had nosedived after winning in a small field at Newton Abbot in October but the signs were more encouraging last time in the 2m4f Plate at the Festival as he was staying on when hampered by a faller at the last fence; has to be of interest, especially given the yard's form.

He's run some of his better races at Cheltenham, including a New course win (about 2m4f, good; off this mark) from O'Moore Park last April; not much going for him on his form since beating three rivals at Newton Abbot in October but some sort of revival isn't beyond the imagination.

Form & Verdict
Dual Irish point winner who created good impression when winning on last summer's hurdle debut for John McConnell but has not yet built on that performance; makes chasing debut for new stable (same owner); on workable mark and could have a good future over fences but needs to have been revitalised by his new surroundings.

Has done very well this season for new yard over fences, winning twice at Perth (2m4f, good) and going close there (2m4f, good) last time; he's going into the unknown stamina-wise but was a close second over 3m2f at Newton Abbot (good to soft) in July and this progressive 7yo is not ruled out.

Sent straight chasing by Donald McCain and has finished first or second in all four starts from 2m4f to 3m2f; jumped well out in front to win over C&D 17 days ago off just 2lb lower; might be vulnerable to something better handicapped but has a solid chance.

Made it 2-2 at Perth when making all to beat a few of these here 23 days ago, fending off Parisencore by just under a length; had nothing in hand but he's only 2lb higher.

Form & Verdict
Pulled up in last two hurdle races last season but back in prime form when dominating from the front on chasing debut at Cartmel (2m5f, good) five weeks ago; helps to give Nicky Henderson a very strong hand in this race.

Had wind surgery since a laboured effort at Cartmel in late August (cheekpieces joined regular tongue-tie) but he has become wickedly inconsistent; capable off this mark but others have to rate safer propositions.

Second at Ayr in April (2m4f, good to soft) behind a revitalised rival but ran moderately the following month and he is wickedly inconsistent; cheekpieces are added; mixed record after breaks.

Form & Verdict
Looked as good as ever over hurdles when second at Warwick (3m1f, good) at end of last season and made very good start to chasing career when eased-down winner at Southwell (2m4f, good) this month; went up 7lb for that but still makes very obvious appeal.

Won Listed novice chase here (3m, good) in November 2024; 0-5 in handicaps in 2025 but having edged down the weights he was a close fourth at Ascot (3m, good to soft) in December last time; 3-5 here and, with the drying ground in his favour, he could be in the mix in first-time cheekpieces.

Doesn't want the ground worse than good to soft; took care of Transmission here last October and followed up in a Listed novice at the track, beating subsequent improver Resplendent Grey; nothing wrong with his following seconds (3m; Grade 1/hot handicap) and can be forgiven his no-show in the Grand National; goes well fresh and very feasible that there's further improvement to come.

Best away from soft ground; saw the 3m out well on last two starts when second at Kempton in a Grade 1 novice and a major handicap; reverting to a left-handed track here may help his jumping; however, he switched from hurdling only last June and, notwithstanding his three small-field wins, six runs over fences is a slight record for a would-be Grand National winner.

Form & Verdict
Three-time hurdle winner; posted some very respectable efforts in that sphere this spring (2m4f-2m7f) and makes chasing debut from a good mark but takes on three bang-in-form rivals who are already proven over fences.

Three-time hurdle winner; last of five over C&D (good to soft) on last month's chasing debut but faced a fairly tough assignment that day and wasn't beaten far; entitled to have learned from that experience and is well handicapped now; one to consider.

Arguably ran better than eventual 14l defeat suggests when weakening fourth at Uttoxeter (2m7f, good to soft) last month and is now 5lb lower than when winning at Doncaster (2m3f, good) in December; can play a major role if first-time cheekpieces have positive effect.
