Now that the Aintree Grand National is in the rear-view mirror, the jumps season begins to wind down for the summer months, and the Flat turf racing season steps up a gear to fill the void.
This week’s fixture list sees little for punters to really get excited about, although there is Listed action on Wednesday at Nottingham for the Further Flight Stakes; while at Kempton on Saturday there is also Listed racing action with the Snowdrop Stakes.
Good Friday’s horse racing programme meanwhile takes in the All-weather Champions Day racecard at Lingfield; while on Easter Sunday there is Grade One action at Fairyhouse with the feature Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase on the card in Ireland.
Also on Saturday, evening racing gets underway with fixtures at Brighton and Stratford to kick off the twilight racing season.
MONDAY 10 APRIL
A new week of horse racing action gets underway on Monday with a four-fixture line-up which takes in jumps racing from Kelso, and also Tramore in Ireland; while on the flat, Windsor hosts the first of their customary Monday meetings along with Redcar who are also in action.

Tuesday’s horse racing meetings take in four fixtures across the UK and Ireland, and there is jumps racing from Exeter; while on the flat they go at Pontefract on turf, and Lingfield on the all-weather.
Completing the day’s programme is an evening racing card on the flat in Ireland with a meeting at Tipperary.

Elsewhere, there is evening all-weather action at both Kempton and Dundalk in Ireland.
