Brian Healy takes a look ahead to this week's UK and Irish horse racing meetings and details the pick of the action over the next seven days.

More Group One horse racing action goes to post this week, with the latest renewal of the Coral-Eclipse Stakes taking centre stage at Sandown on Saturday.

Also taking place over the weekend is the Group Two Lancashire Oaks at Haydock on a race-card which also features the latest Old Newton Cup on a cracking afternoon.

MONDAY 1 JULY


A relatively low-key start to a new week of horse racing action, and Monday sees four meetings going to post across the UK with afternoon flat racing on turf from Pontefract, and from Wolverhampton on their all-weather surface.

Meanwhile, in the evening there is further turf racing action on the level from the meetings at Windsor and Catterick.

TUESDAY 2 JULY


A further four UK horse racing meetings head to post on Tuesday, and the afternoon action on the flat comes from the cards at Brighton and Hamilton, while Chepstow are also racing on the level in the evening.

There is also jumps racing action taking place in the evening from Stratford.

Wednesday’s fixture list of horse racing meetings takes in six UK and Irish meetings, with afternoon racing action from Musselburgh and Thirsk on the flat, and Worcester over the sticks.

Meanwhile, in the evening there is all-weather action from Kempton, while Bath go on turf alongside a meeting in Ireland at Bellewstown with both meetings taking place on the level.

A busy Thursday of UK and Irish horse racing action takes in seven fixtures which will see flat racing in the afternoon from Haydock and Yarmouth, while Perth are also racing with a fixture over the sticks.

Elswehere, in the evening there is further flat racing action from both Newbury and Epsom; while in Ireland there is also flat racing from Bellewstown, and a mixed flat and jumps racing card from Tipperary where there is Listed action on the racecard.

Friday’s fixture list of UK and Irish horse racing action takes in a eight fixtures where afternoon racing on the flat comes from the meetings at Sandown and Doncaster, while Newton Abbot are racing over the sticks.

In the evening, there is all-weather action from Chelmsford, as well as further action on the flat from the meetings at Haydock and Beverley.

In Ireland meanwhile in the evening there are meetings on the flat at Bellewstown, and also over the sticks at Wexford.

A busy Saturday awaits punters with the day featuring no less than nine UK and Irish horse racing meetings.

The afternoon action is headed up by the Coral-Eclipse meeting at Sandown, while it also Lancashire Oaks day at Haydock.

Further turf racing action on the flat goes to post at Beverley and Leicester, while there is an all-weather card from Chelmsford. Meanwhile, Naas in Ireland also host a meeting on the flat on turf.

In the evening, there is further action from Bellewstown in Ireland who are racing over jumps, while Nottingham and Carlisle both host flat racing cards.
