This week's horse racing fixtures 24-30 June - Details of all this week's UK and Irish racemeetings

The Curragh is the scene for three days' high-class horse racing action with the Irish Derby Weekend going to post from Thursday.

Brian Healy takes a look ahead to all this week's UK and Irish horse racing action, including Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh.

The 2019 Royal Ascot Festival meeting is now in the rear-view mirror, but there is plenty to look forward to in the days and weeks ahead starting with the UK and Irish horse racing fixtures going to post over the seven days which culminates with the Irish Derby weekend at the Curragh where there is plenty of high-class racing taking place over the three-day fixture with the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes going to post on Friday's racecard; while the feature Irish Derby heads the Saturday racecard at the premier Irish venue.

Also going to post throughout the course of the week is the Group Three Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle on Saturday, alongside the Group Three Criterion Stakes which goes to post at Newmarket on the same day. 

Midweek highlights include Listed action on Wednesday from both Carlisle and Naas; while it is the 'Saints And Sinners' meeting at Hamilton on Thursday.

MONDAY 24 JUNE


Five UK and Irish horse racing meetings go to post on Monday, and the day sees flat racing action from the meeting at Chepstow, while Southwell goes over the sticks.

Meanwhile, in the evening there is the usual flat racing fixture from Windsor which is joined by an all-weather card at Wolverhampton; while Ballinrobe in Ireland are also racing with a fixture on the level.

TUESDAY 25 JUNE


Four meetings go to post across the UK as racing in Ireland takes a day off, and the afternoon’s flat racing comes from the cards at Beverley and Brighton; while in the evening there is further flat racing action from Newbury, while Newton Abbot race over the sticks.

WEDNESDAY 26 JUNE


Wednesday sees six UK and Irish horse racing meetings going to post, and the day’s flat racing action comes from the meetings at Salisbury and Carlisle, while Ffos Las goes jumping.

Meanwhile, in the evening there is further flat racing action on turf from Bath, and also Naas in Ireland; while Kempton are racing on the all-weather.

Six more UK and Irish horse racing meetings go to post on Thursday, with afternoon flat racing from Nottingham and Newmarket’s July Course on turf, while Newcastle race on their tapeta surface.

Meanwhile, in the evening there is further racing on the level from Leicester and Hamilton, while the Curragh in Ireland also race on the flat on Thursday evening.

Friday’s busy fixture list of UK and Irish horse racing meetings takes in seven meetings with afternoon action from the cards at Yarmouth and Doncaster on the flat, while Cartmel goes over the sticks.

There is also flat racing action from the Curragh on Friday afternoon, while in the evening there is further flat action from the cards at Chester and Newcastle on turf, and also Newcastle on the all-weather.

A busy Saturday of UK and Irish horse racing meetings will see eight meetings going to post, with afternoon action on the flat from the meetings at Windsor, Chester, Newmarket, York and Newcastle on their all-weather surface; while there will also be racing from Ireland with a fixture on the level from the Curragh where the latest renewal of the Irish Derby takes centre stage.

Meanwhile, further flat racing cards from Doncaster and Lingfield make up the evening’s action.
