Haydock are racing over two days this week, featuring the Sprint Cup Stakes.

Brian Healy details all this week's UK and Irish horse racing action where punters can take in a raceday out over the next seven days.

The 2018 Flat racing season enters it’s final third of the campaign, and another action-filled week of horse racing action awaits punters with this week’s feature racing coming from Haydock where the Group One Sprint Cup Stakes heads to post as the highlight of the week.

MONDAY 3 SEPTEMBER


Monday’s fixture list of horse racing action takes in five UK and Irish race-meetings, with afternoon action on the flat from the cards at Brighton and Ffos Las; while there are twilight fixtures going to post at Windsor and Newcastle on the all-weather.

Completing Monday’s line-up of fixtures is a meeting in Ireland at Roscommon, who also races on the level.

Ffos Las (flat) - 2.15 - 5.15pm (7 races)
Windsor (flat) - 3.55 - 7.30pm (8 races)
Roscommon (flat) - 4.35 - 7.40pm (7 races)

Brighton are racing on Monday.


TUESDAY 4 SEPTEMBER


A further five UK and Irish horse racing meetings will go to post on Tuesday’s fixture list, with afternoon flat racing action from Goodwood, while Stratford race over the sticks.

There are also twilight fixtures taking place on Tuesday with Leicester on turf joining Kempton’s all-weather meeting; while Naas in Ireland complete Tuesday’s line-up.

Six meetings will go to post on Wednesday with afternoon flat racing action taking place at Bath on turf, and Lingfield on the all-weather; while Southwell race over the sticks.

There are also twilight cards at Ffos Las on the flat, and Wolverhampton on the all-weather; while Gowran Park in Ireland also race on the level on Wednesday evening.

THURSDAY 6 SEPTEMBER


A further six UK and Irish horse racing meetings will go to post on Thursday, with afternoon action on the level at Haydock and Salisbury, where the Group Three Dick Poole Stakes goes to post; while over the sticks there is a meeting at Sedgefield.

In the evening, Carlisle race on the flat alongside Chelmsford’s all-weather meeting,

Completing Thursday’s fixture list is a meeting on the beach at Laytown in Ireland.

Seven horse racing meetings go to post across the UK and Ireland, with afternoon action on the flat from the meetings at Ascot and Haydock on turf, and also Newcastle on the all-weather.

Meanwhile, there are also twilight cards at Musselburgh on the level as well as Kempton’s all-weather card; while in Ireland there are fixtures on the level at Down Royal, and also over the sticks at Kilbeggan.

SATURDAY 8 SEPTEMBER


Eight meetings will go to post on Saturday, headlined by the Group One Sprint Cup Stakes which goes to post at Haydock.

Ascot and Thirsk also go to post on the flat on turf, as does Navan in Ireland; while Kempton’s all-weather card plays host to classy Group Three action with both the September Stakes and Sirenia Stakes on the agenda.

Stratford meanwhile races over the sticks, alongside Wexford in Ireland; while Wolverhampton’s evening meeting on the all-weather complete’s Saturday’s fixture-list.

Sunday sees three meetings go to post to close out the week, and there is flat racing action from the card at York where the Listed Garrowby Stakes heads to post on the Knavesmire.

There is also jumps racing action from Fontwell on Sunday, while the start of the six-day Listowel Harvest Festival goes to post with a card over the sticks.
