The Beverley Bullet is amongst this week's UK and Irish horse racing highlights.

Brian Healy looks ahead to this week's horse racing action and runs down every UK and Irish horse racing meeting going to post over the next seven days.

After a cracking four days at York for the 2018 Ebor Festival, a new week of horse racing action kicks off with more top-class racing action for punters to look forward to.

Highlights of this week’s fixture list include the likes of the competitive Beverley Bullet, the Group Three Solario Stakes and Atalanta Stakes at Sandown, and the Irish Cambridgeshire Handicap at the Curragh.

MONDAY 27 AUGUST


No evening racing as Bank Monday gets the week underway with a six-fixture line-up of horse racing fixtures, and the day takes in flat racing action on the all-weather at Southwell, as well on turf at Epsom, Ripon and Chepstow.

There is also jumps racing from Cartmel, and also Downpatrick in Ireland.

Epsom (flat) - 1.55 - 5.25pm (7 races)
Chepstow (flat) - 2.00 - 6.05pm (8 races)
Cartmel (jumps) - 2.05 - 5.35pm (7 races)
Ripon (flat) - 2.15 - 5.45pm (7 races)
Downpatrick (jumps) - 2.45 - 6.10pm (7 races)

Epsom race on Bank Holiday Monday.


TUESDAY 28 AUGUST


Tuesday’s fixture list of horse racing meetings takes in five UK and Irish meetings, with Ripon and Epsom going to post on the flat in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, in the evening there is all-weather action from Chelmsford,while Stratford race over the sticks alongside Ballinrobe in Ireland.

Chelmsford (flat, aw) - 4.50 - 7.50pm (7 races)

WEDNESDAY 29 AUGUST


Six meetings go to post on Wednesday’s fixture list, and the afternoon action comes from Catterick, Musselburgh and Lingfield all on the flat.

In the evening there is further flat racing action on the all-weather from Kempton, and from Bellewstown in Ireland which races on turf.

Completing Wednesday’s fixture list is a meeting over the sticks at Worcester.

THURSDAY 30 AUGUST


A busy Thursday sees seven UK and Irish horse racing meetings going to post, with afternoon action on the level from Carlisle and Musselburgh on turf, and also Chelmsford on the all-weather.

In the evening, Fontwell and Sedgefield go over the sticks alongside Bellewstown in Ireland; while back on the flat there is Group racing action on the card at Tipperary.

Eight UK and Irish horse racing meetings go to post on Friday with afternoon on the level from Thirsk and Sandown, while Bangor races over the sticks.

In the evening there is further flat racing action with Wolverhampton and Newcastle both racing on the all-weather; while Hamilton race on turf. And in Ireland there is further flat racing action from the Curragh, with Down Royal closing out the day with a meeting over the sticks.

SATURDAY 1 SEPTEMBER


Eight more meetings will head to post throughout Saturday’s scheduled UK and Irish fixture list, and the day’s afternoon flat racing action comes from the cards at Beverley, Sandown and Chester on turf, while Wolverhampton race on their all-weather surface.

The competitive Beverley Bullet spearheads the day’s action at the Yorkshire track, while the Group Three duo of the Solario Stakes and Atalanta Stakes feature at Sandown. 

There is also afternoon flat racing action at the Curragh where a trio of Group Three contests join the competitive Irish Cambridgeshire Handicap on the card in Ireland.

Jumps racing action on Saturday afternoon comes courtesy of Newton Abbot, while in the evening there is all-weather action at both Lingfield and Chelmsford.
