Monday Club has come close to winning on all four of his most recent starts and was unlucky to run into the well-handicapped Sussex Ranger last time out. Conor Brace takes seven off his back and he looks a danger, but I doubt whether this improving six-year-old will enjoy the heavy ground at Ffos Las and preference is for fellow favourite, GONE PLATINUM.

A regular here at Ffos Las, David Rees watched his ten-year-old secure a good victory on the chasing course here back in May. Most of Gone Platinum’s appearance have been over two-and-a-half-miles, but he ran well over this trip on several occasions during his time with Henry De Bromhead and has form over the minimum distance here at Ffos Las, passing the post a three-length third in a Novices’ Chase in the spring.

Lorcan Williams has got a lovely tune out of this experienced jumper on both his most recent runs. First, winning a good quality handicap chase when carrying odds of 25/1 to post, before coming out second best to Golden Whisky in a handicap hurdle over 20 furlongs. Gone Platinum’s jumping was slick enough that day to suggest he has the pace for this kind of race, he’s run well enough on heavy ground in the past and Williams’ claimer will mean he carries just 11 stone to post.
