Thursday’s racing tips – 7/4 NAP to hit the Front in Gowran Park bumper

Gowran Park races.

The final race on Thyestes Day card looks to be a two-horse race, with Willie Mullins’ Blue Sari leading the way in the betting. Closely related to Sancta Simona – who lost two of her three outings on the level – the favourite is sure to have a good chance. Yet, Ireland’s Champion Trainer hasn’t had his troops firing on all cylinders this term and I fancy FRONT VIEW to pull off a minor upset.

Joseph O’Brien is enjoying his most successful season to date, with his runner in bumpers scoring 25% of the time. Front View is out of a mare who enjoyed a successful career in France and by a relatively unknown sire who has produced some decent jumpers – like stablemate Darasso, who takes on Presenting Percy in the Galmoy Hurdle.

After a fairly poor season, by his standards last year, JP McManus has bolstered his ranks with young, talented horses this term. Any debutant trained by O’Brien and baring those famous silks has to be feared and Derek O’Connor is the perfect jockey to guide Front View on his maiden appearance.
