Rhaegar - making his first start for Olly Murphy - and Cornish Warrior are both course-and-distance winners and have to be respected, as does the consistent Hepijeu. The third course-and-distance victor in the field is GLOBAL DREAM, who may have 12-00 on his back, but has racing fitness on his side and the top-weight looks the one to beat.

Caroline Bailey looked to have a very consistent sort on her hands back in 2017, as Global Dream won or placed in nine of his first eleven starts over fences. Sadly, injury struck that summer and Bailey’s nine-year-old wasn’t seen again until December of this season.

After pulling up on his reappearance, Global Dream ran nicely for fourth under top-weight at Warwick, before Harry Skelton jumped into the saddle for the first time to push a smart horse in Quarenta all the way to the line. Bailey then hiked her charge up to three-and-a-half-miles and Global Dream looked to be going well, before fading a little during the final couple of furlongs to finish a ten-length third.

Global Dream has plenty of experience at Southwell. He’s won before carrying this sort of weight and his best performance this term came on good ground. Harry Skelton is one of the top jockeys here at Southwell this season and rode a nice winner for Bailey earlier this month. 10/3 looks a good price!
