Form & Verdict
Very much caught the eye when third of ten on his Haydock debut (6f, good to soft) in May, but was forced to work to justify odds-on when successful by a head at Redcar (6f, good to firm) last month; the second has gone in since to give the form some substance and, with the extra furlong likely to be within range, he shouldn't be far away.

Form & Verdict
Coped well with the tricky nature of the track when beating a subsequent winner on his Epsom debut (7f, good to firm; 100-30) last month; pedigree suggests this stiffer course should suit him even better and he looks the one to beat.

Form & Verdict
Failed to beat a rival on his Ascot debut (5f, good) in May, but improved plenty when beaten half a length into second of ten at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) last month; respected getting weight from the previous winners.

Form & Verdict
February foal by Mayson; dam unraced half-sister to useful 5f-6f winner Ben Hall out of 7f/1m winning half-sister to Group-placed winners Firebet (6f-1m2f) and Seeking The Prize (7.5f/1m2f); already gelded and this looks a stiff task on debut; market useful.

Verdict

Despte the tricky track BENACRE handled the conditions well to make a winning debut at Epsom last month and the second has gone in since. He is taken to follow up. There is probably more to come from Redcar winner Sound Pressure, but the main threat may come from Belon who showed improvement when just beaten at Salisbury on his second start and gets weight from the two winners.[David Bellingham]
