Form & Verdict
Consistent performer over flights, winning a Clonmel maiden hurdle and a Ballinrobe conditions contest; runner-up in a 2m4f Roscommon novice and third in a Flat maiden at the same venue on his last two starts; ground versatile and back over a good trip for him but likely to find a couple too good.

Dual winner on the Flat for Roger Charlton and could not have started his hurdles career in better style when winning a Roscommon maiden three weeks ago, pulling well clear with the runner-up; still an improver in all likelihood and should get into the shake-up here.

Form & Verdict
Highly tried over hurdles although presumably connections didn't think they would have to wait 15 months for his first win over hurdles, which finally came in a Punchestown maiden in May; sets a decent standard though as he returns to this sort of company and will be hard to beat.

Placed in two bumpers before making an impressive hurdles debut in a Ballinrobe maiden hurdle last week; hood worn that day is left on here and is a fascinating runner stepped up in class.

Highly rated Flat handicapper; runner-up in a pair of maiden hurdles and was in front admittedly with some way to go when falling in the Punchestown maiden hurdle won by Tax For Max; capable of winning a maiden hurdle and probably more but others preferred here.

Verdict

A well-contested novice. Prairie Dancer is a big player as he attempts to win for the fourth time in five starts. while Roscommon winner Amir Kabir could easily improve enough to go very close. Preference is for TAX FOR MAX after finally getting his head in front at Punchestown with his overall form setting a good standard. [Justin O'Hanlon]
