39/1 Banker Acca for Day 3 at The Cheltenham Festival 2022
The Cheltenham Festival is fast approaching and as the greatest show on turf nears our, experts have delved into the day 3 Thursday card identifying a 39/1 banker accumulator. Check this out, and why not add it to your bet slip with one click here.
Bob Olinger (1.30 Cheltenham, Turners Novices’ Chase) 10/11
With a record of 6 wins in 7 runs, Bob Olinger comes into the 2022 Cheltenham Festival with rock-solid credentials. Not only is he ‘banker material’ for Day Three, for many he’ll be on those long accumulator slips running through the whole Festival.
Henry De Bromhead’s star looked imperious over hurdles ever since his maiden victory over the obstacles by 14-lengths at Navan in December 2020. He confirmed that promise at last-year’s Festival by turning the Ballymore into a procession.
Whisper it quietly, however, but tempers have ever-so-slightly been dampened in his Novice Chase season – despite boasting a 2-2 record over the larger obstacles by a combined 11 lengths! He hasn’t looked every-inch the ‘monster’ that he did over hurdles, with the occasional blemish in his jumping, but has nevertheless delivered on both occasions.
That hasn’t stopped punters making him odds-on here though, and with Galopin Des Champs looking in between this and the Brown Advisory, he could be all rage to get your acca roaring on Day Three.
Allaho (2.50 Cheltenham, Ryanair Chase) 4/6
For many, Allaho is simply the banker of the week.
Festival winner: check, Willie Mullins: check, Opposition strength: check. There’s a lot to like about his chances. given his performance in the race last year. Looking at the market for the race too, it’s easy to make a case that this race will cut up badly come off time. The next horses in the betting are Eneurgame, A Plus Tard, Conflated, Chacun Por Soi…All of whom are set to line-up elsewhere.
He won this race by an enormous 12 lengths last season, defeating recent Grade 1 winner Fakir D’oudaries, and will take all the beating in the second leg of this acca.
Flooring Porter (3.30 Cheltenham, Stayers Hurdle) 3/1
They say ‘horses for courses’ and here’s another pick in the acca looking to defend their Cheltenham crown from last season.
Flooring Porter comes back to the scene of his, somewhat surprise, Stayers Hurdle victory 12 months ago. Gavin Cromwell’s charge upset hot-favourite Paisley Park making all in some style. Expect similar tactics again.
He’s had just two runs so far this season, the latest a good run in defeat to Klassical Dream who he will re-oppose on Thursday. Expect him to be fully tuned up for another assault and he should go close in a race where nearly all of his rivals have questions to answer.
Dinoblue (4.50 Cheltenham, Mares Novices Hurdle) 9/4
We love an unknown quantity…
The thing about Dinoblue that is so intriguing is that we have no idea just how classy she could be. And when it comes to Willie Mullins mares, she could be very classy. She did everything right on her sole ounting; jumped accurately and travelled powerfully before drawing clear in dominant fashion. Dinoblue is sure to progress in time and could be good enough to win a race which his trainer often does so well in.
