Friday’s Extra Place Race Tips

Need a hand picking out which horses to back in these selected races? Fear not, we’re here to help!

We’ve put up 8/1 12/1 and 16/1 winners in these articles over the past couple of weeks, and we’ve had 13/2, 12/1 and 22/1 placers so far this week! Here are our tips in today’s extra place races with Betfred

Runner-up on her first start for the Lavelle yard, JUBILYMPICS (6/1 Betfred) chased home Runasimi River when last seen out at Fontwell, beaten seven lengths and no match for the winner. She competes here off the same mark but the application of a hood ahead of this latest outing might help her to find some further progress.

JAXLIGHT (16/1 Betfred) is one of the few runners in this field to have won over hurdles, scoring in a similar handicap at Southwell in September. Results haven’t gone to plan thereafter, but the combination of a new trainer and a wind-op could result in a return to winning ways.

DUBH DES CHAMPS (10/1 Betfred) has been beaten out of sight on all three of his starts on soft ground so far this season. Yet, his results on ground with good in the description are much better and Phil Kirby’s eight-year-old is a former course-and-distance winner, having won off a mark of 90 back in November 2018.

Few in here hold any appeal at all, but it could be worth taking a punt on ANFAASS (18/1 Betfred). A former course winner running off a career-low mark, Wayne Lordan’s mount ran well for three-quarters of his reappearance over 12-furlongs, so dropping back in trip could be just what he needs to secure an overdue victory.

While Rock On Aidan could prove very hard to beat, an each-way chance can be taken on GLORY (18/1 Betfred) who looks very-well handicapped based on his juvenile form and should be much more competitive now up in trip on his second start at the venue.

RAG TATTER (14/1 Betfred) ran well on his first start for Dennis Hogan, dropping from second to fifth in the strides before the line. That run was over a mile, so the drop back to seven-furlongs could really suit and Paddy Harnett’s claimer leaves Hogan’s charge with just 8-7 on his back.
