Thursday’s Extra Place Each-Way Tips

The betting tells us that Lots Of Luck will be hard to beat, but I think there’s value to be found backing PICKNICK PARK at an each-way price. Nick Kent’s eight-year-old may still be searching for his first victory, but Adam Wedge’s mount lost out by just a head over course-and-distance, on the back of a similar lay-off, back in May. Picknick Park is now one pound lower in the handicap than he was that day, and good-to-soft ground seems ideal.

WELOOF lost out by less than two lengths to Brains on his last start, and the winner that day has gone on to complete a hat-trick, boosting Weloof’s run significantly. John Butler’s charge has won once and placed second once in three starts over course-and-distance and should go well again, despite a wide draw in stall 10.

DALKADAM was running consistently over fences when last seen over a year ago. On his last appearance over hurdles, Danny McMenamin’s mount was well-beaten off a mark of 90. On the back of his absence and a 15-race winless run, the handicapper has dropped Dalkadam to a mark of just 79 for his return to action, so he’s certainly worth watching at a lenghty price.

DANDYS GOLD showed flashes of ability during his time in Ireland, and often performed well on the back of a break. The six-year-old will be having his first start for Roger Fell this afternoon, and could be worth siding with at an each-way price.
