CURRAGH TIPS ON TUESDAY – IRISH RACING BEST BETS FOR THE DAY’S FIXTURE ON THE FLAT

1:10 Curragh – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (2yo) 6f

NEW YORK CITY is still chasing a first win but the Invincible Spirit colt could prove hard to beat here back at six furlongs.

Aidan O’Brien’s charge finished runner-up over the minimum trip at Naas in September prior to only being beaten four lengths despite only beating one home in the Group One Middle Park Stakes on his next start.

He again wasn’t beaten far at this venue earlier in the month back over five furlongs but he can do better returning to the longer trip and he sets a solid standard on his form to date. He should be very capable of making his presence felt here and he can land a first win if shrugging off that lesser effort last time.

1:45 Curragh – Paddy Power “Play Card” Nursery Handicap (2yo) 1m

MADONNADELROSARIO drops back into handicap company having found Listed and Group Three contests too much for her the last twice and the Caravaggio filly can get back on track here.

Aidan O’Brien’s charge struck over seven furlongs here in August, beating Malayan by a half-length and that looks fair form as he eases back in class.

He was last seen finishing eighth of nine runners here in the Weld Park Stakes behind Concert Hall, not helped by starting slowly and he could take advantage of this easier grade where he remains with some scope from this mark.

Irish racing best bets. Aidan O'Brien can get amongst the winners at the Curragh on Friday.

Curragh tips on Tuesday. Trainer Aidan O’Brien can get amongst the winners.

3:30 Curragh – Paddy Power “I’d Love A Pint But I Forgot My Covid Cert” Handicap (3yo+ 45-70) 1m2f

CHACHA DANCER has finished runner-up twice in her last four starts and it might be worth chancing on the Gutaifan filly to shed her maiden tag at the eleventh attempt.

Only a half-length behind reopposing Dha Leath when the pair clased at Navan earlier in the month he is 3lbs better off with that rival now although he failed to back up that performance latest. She possibly found the trip stretching him though on that occasion and back at this distance she can do better this time.

Chris Timmons’ charge hasn’t proven to be the most consistent, but she’s proven in the conditions and with Wayne Lordan taking over from a claimer she might be able to strike a first win now.

4:05 Curragh – Paddy Power “Horsey Run Fast” Handicap (3yo+ 45-75) 5f

CURRAHEEN PRINCESS bombed out under a penalty at Navan last Wednesday when chasing a hat-trick of wins, but it may be worth sticking with the Prince Of Lir filly to quickly bounce back.

Des Donovan’s charge had won back-to-back at Bellewstown and over course and distance previously, beating Harry’s Hill by a half-length under this rider to register the second of those victories and while she’s 2lbs worse off with that rival in this rematch she can confirm the form.

Despite that reversal last time she had looked progressive prior and she might be capable of quickly regaining winning form if this doesn’t come too soon.
