Loader’s Daily Double – Friday’s best bets at Newbury and Doncaster

Newbury ChaseNewbury Chase

Chris Loader rolls his two best bets into this Daily Double, covering races at Newbury and Doncaster on Friday 28th February.

There could be some stormy weather around the country today and we are going to need horses that will handle attritional conditions. Both selections on the Racing Tips Daily Double are proven on heavy going and we focus on the cards at Doncaster and Newbury. Bst odds available here with Unibet.

Friday’s Daily Double

3.15 Newbury – Financial Outcome

I was coming around to have a small bet on Financial Outcome for the Eider Chase at Newcastle. Unfortunately the marathon race was cancelled due to the bad weather the UK has received recently. I think he would have gone really well there as he’s undoubtedly got lots of stamina. That quality should really suit the seven-year-old at Newbury because it can be a long way home down the long straight. He’s rated a 118 which I think is a kind mark and he could easily have 10lbs in hand of the handicapper. With the testing conditions I believe his trainer Rebecca Curtis has an excellent chance of a winner here today.

3.40 Doncaster – Miss Heritage

Miss Heritage bolted up by thirty seven lengths at Huntingdon last time out for Lucy Wadham. The handicapper has raised the mare 14lbs but she will be able to race off same mark against her own sex today. Furthermore conditional jockey Maxime Tissier is taking a further 5lbs off so the daughter of Pour Moi is incredibly well treated. Also the course at Doncaster should suit no problem with it’s a long straight and I can see Miss Heritage cruising on the bridle into the race. Also Lucy Wadham is going well operating at a 22% strike rate in the last fortnight. The deeper the ground the better for Miss Heritage and she’s my idea of the banker on Friday.
