KEMPTON TIPS

(1.50 Kempton)

Global Society is respected on the back of a hurdles debut win last month, but OFALLTHEGINJOINTS (5/2, Unibet) has kept good company this term and the Stowaway gelding can get back on the scoresheet.

Colin Tizzard’s charge made a winning switch to hurdling following success in the point-to-point ranks when successful over the useful Flic Ou Voyou at Chepstow in October. He subsequently was denied only a short-head by Boss Man Fred in his follow-up bid over this course and distance.

He’s been far from disgraced in Grade Two and Listed company the last twice and this represents a sizeable drop in class. The form of his latest run at Cheltenham on New Years’ Day looks strong having been boosted since and he could be tough to beat in this easier company.

(2.25 Kempton)

CELTIC JOY (7/2, William Hill) has made the frame on all three starts at this venue including registering a win on his penultimate start over this distance with a defeat of The Flying Sofa.

Emma Lavelle’s charge was beaten by Sammy Bill over an extra two furlongs here, possibly just stretched by the trip; but the Kayf Tara gelding could get back on the winning trail here where he competes from the same mark.

The form of that Kempton runner-up effort has been franked with the winner, third and fourth horses home all winning since and he could appreciate the return to this trip having looked a non-stayer latest.

This needs a shade more in a deeper race but he could have more to offer over the larger obstacles and he can get back on the winning trail from his relative featherweight.

1.20 – Homer
1.50 – Ofalltheginjoints
2.25 – Celtic Joy
2.55 – Eva’s Diva
3.30 – Touch Kick
4.00 – Diamond River
4.30 – Flinteur Sacre

BANGOR TIPS

(2.10 Bangor)

Sheneededtherun and HIGH COUNSEL (4/1, William Hill) are both on a sequence of wins having each racked up a recent hat-trick of successes. Both ought to continue in good form but Gary Hanmer’s charge can continue his winning run.

The veteran Presenting gelding ran out a ready winner over Lord In Red at Warwick last month, scoring by almost eight lengths. A subsequent 10lbs rise in the weights demands a shade more from him but he remains fairly weighted judging on the best of his historic form from his younger days.

This longer trip ought to be within range and if he sees out the extra yardage then it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him going close where he can pick up another win.

(3.50 Bangor)

SEYMOUR SOX (4/1, William Hill) has shown progressive form over hurdles since his attentions were switched to handicaps, finding only one too good at Uttoxeter prior to going one better and getting off the mark at Hereford next time.

Alistair Ralph’s charge saw off First Assembly by three lengths in that last outing, readily coming clear for an easy success. He’s been hit with a 6lbs rise in the weights for that win but the manner of the success suggests there’s more to come and he can defy his higher mark.

The form of that success doesn’t look the strongest and has taken a couple of knocks; but another forward step wouldn’t come as a surprise and the Multiplex can continue to make his presence felt.

1.40 – Annie MC
2.10 – High Counsel
2.45 – Pass The Hat
3.15 – The Cashel Man
3.50 – Seymour Sox
4.20 – Stratagem
4.50 – Faivoir

SOUTHWELL TIPS

(2.35 Southwell)

LOOKTOTHELIGHT (11/2, Bet365) showed some improvement following a break to finish runner-up here last month although he was no match for the easy winner Dune Of Pilat who ran out an eight lengths’ victor.

However he possibly just needed the run and Jamie Osborne’s charge could build on that performance to get off the mark here.

The Mineshaft gelding attempted to make the running in his last run, but the winner had too many guns and while readily beaten he did finish five lengths clear of the third horse home.

He can race off the same mark here and unless one of the newcomers proves above average then it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him in the mix and he could go one place better.

(3.05 Southwell)

FOX SHINJI (3/1, William Hill) stepped up on his previous efforts when finishing a close third on his handicap debut over course and distance last month, beaten just one length behind Velvet Vision.

The Iffraaj colt was unable to match the winner for effort close home, but it was a solid effort nonetheless and he could have further scope.

The handicapper has left him alone at the weights and he could build on that promising recent outing to open his account now.

2.00 – Gupta
2.35 – Looktothelight
3.05 – Fox Shinji
3.40 – Six Strings
4.10 – Padleyourowncanoe
4.40 – Falcao

CHELMSFORD TIPS

(5.10 Chelmsford)

ELUSIF (15/8, William Hill) has to give weight all round to this field but the Elusive Quality gelding could prove a class apart from his field as he bids for a hat-trick of wins.

2-2 since joining this yard, Phil McEntee’s charge latterly ran out a neck victor over Bold Decision at Wolverhampton where he was carrying a penalty for an earlier Kempton success. He’s only 1lb higher here and sets a solid standard at the weights so he can land his hat-trick assuming this run doesn’t come too soon in the wake of those earlier wins.

This doesn’t look a very strong race either so he is hard to oppose and the three-timer ought to be landed.

(6.15 Chelmsford)

EQUALLY FAST (7/2, William Hill) got back on the winning trail when making a successful debut for new handler Ron Harris where the Equiano gelding scored by a half-length over Roundabout Magic.

Fourth subsequently at Kempton where he wasn’t seen to best effect, he bounced back from that lesser effort to find only Tabaahy too strong latest at Wolverhampton and he could go close with a repeat of that effort here.

He has won from considerably higher marks than this in his younger days, and his latest success came from just 2lbs lower so he remains fairly treated at the weights and no surprise to see another bold show.

4.35 – Bold Decision
5.10 – Elusif
5.45 – Express Route
6.15 – Equally Fast
6.45 – Tyrsal
7.15 – Lalania
7.45 – Tarseekh
8.15 – Jorvik Prince

DUNDALK TIPS

(5.30 Dundalk)

ORCHID GARDENS (Evens, William Hill) shaped nicely on her debut over course and distance three weeks ago and Mick Halford’s charge can build on that performance to get off the mark at the second attempt.

The Muhaarar filly found only one too strong in that run, beaten less than one length behind Abby Hatcher; that experience won’t have been lost on her and she can build on the outing to go one place better.

(7.00 Dundalk)

CAPE AGULHAS (11/1, Ladbrokes) may not have seen out two miles at Lingfield last time out, but the Famous Name gelding could be worth chancing to bounce back returned to a more suitable distance.

Willie Martin’s charge had shown some fair form in his previous few starts which includes being beaten just over one length at Southwell at the beginning of January and he looks to still feature on a fair mark while his young rider can take off a handy 7lbs.

He could go well back at this trip and he can sneak into the frame if running up to something like his best.

5.00 – Billyfairplay
5.30 – Orchid Gardens
6.00 – Lightning Charlie
6.30 – Jerandme
7.00 – Cape Agulhas
7.30 – No Trouble
8.00 – Bombshell
8.30 – Calliing Time
