Friday’s Daily Double – 15/1 double at Kempton

Chris Loaders rolls his two best bets into this Daily Double, featuring two runners at Kempton on Friday 7th February.

Thursday was a wonderful day with the Racing Tips Daily Double coming in at 23-1 on the final SP. It was about time we found the winning formula after some frustrating near misses. That means the pressure is back on today with both selections coming from the jumps action at Kempton. Best odds available with Unibet.

Friday’s Daily Double

2.25 Kempton – On The Slopes

On The Slopes has been an admirable horse for Chris Gordon this season. The son of Librettest has done everything right in races except win with some strong formlines against his name. His third place finish at Kempton behind stablemate Commanche Red has been franked by Simply The Betts and yesterday’s double winner Mr McGo.

The way he races will suit Kempton as the five-year-old is normally ridden to be prominent. Also Chris Gordon’s team have been going well and they are close to having their best ever season. With Leighton Aspell booked I expect him to be the one to beat.

3.30 Kempton – Touch Kick

Multiple Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls has been in red hot form recently yielding 15 wins from 45 runners in the last fortnight operating at a 33% strike rate. Touch Kick looks to have a great chance today and finished a fair second behind Fingerontheswitch at Kempton in January. The winner went on to run a blinder behind Ok Corral in the SkyBet Chase at Doncaster.

This race looks a little less competitive than last time and he will be racing off the same mark of 138 which still appears to be within range. Furthermore the ground will be on his side as he wouldn’t want to be too testing. I think Touch Kick is likely to be a strong favourite.
