INVITATIONAL (1.45 Goodwood, 7f Group 3)
Has a lot to find on official ratings and plenty to do judged on the form, including when ninth of 11 at Royal Ascot over a mile last time.
But a quick review of that race shows that she travelled supremely well and she had every runner off the bridle with just over a furlong to go before fading badly late on.
The drop to 7f looks certain to suit here and she is well drawn in stall 3 to be able to capture the lead and she could prove very difficult to pass.
VALE OF KENT (2.45 Goodwood, 1m handicap)
FRan just last weekend and was disappointing on the face of it, finishing 16th of 19 in a big 7f handicap. But he was badly drawn on that occasion in stall 2 and his rider gave him too much to do by trying to cross the entire track and when you take into consideration that the first five home were drawn in 19, 18, 20, 12 and 17, it shows you this five-year-old faced a difficult task.
Has a good draw here in stall 3 for one who likes to go from the front and his form figures at Goodwood reads 32142 so he should hold every chance here.
DESERT ENCOUNTER (3.45 Goodwood, 1m4f Group 3)
Globetrotting veteran who goes well at this track with form figures of 21 in his two Goodwood starts.
Improves as season progresses and ran well enough on ground far too soft for him when third in a Group 2 last time at Newmarket.
Sunshine in last few days will suit as he loves fast ground and you can expect him to be delivered late by Jim Crowley.
ROOSTER (4.20 Goodwood, 6f handicap)
Finished a good second on his penultimate start – winner has gone on to win since – but disappointed on his last run. That may have come too quick given it was just a few days after that promising run and it may well be worth forgiving.
Travels strongly in his races and has a decent draw so might just outrun his price.
