Horse racing fixture list 9-15 December – Details of all this week’s UK and Irish racemeetings

A new week of UK and Irish horse racing action boasts more top-class action over the course of the next seven days, and the International Meeting at Cheltenham across Friday and Saturday takes centre-stage.

There is a veritable feast of Graded action across both days of the December feature, including the feature International Hurdle as well as the latest renewal of the hugely competitive Caspian Caviar Gold Cup going to post on Saturday.

Elsewhere, at Doncaster on Saturday there is Grade Two action with the December Novices’ Chase and Summit Juvenile Hurdle on the card at Town Moore; while the Grade Two Navan Novices’ Hurdle is the feature race of Sunday’s Irish action.


The week kicks off with a schedule of just three UK horse racing meetings taking place where jumps racing comes from Musselburgh; while on the all-weather there is afternoon action from the polytrack at Lingfield.

Completing Monday’s fixture list is an evening all-weather meeting under the floodlights at Newcastle on their tapeta surface.

Four meetings go to post across the UK and Ireland on Tuesday, with the afternoon jumps racing action coming from the cards at Uttoxeter and Fontwell; while there is also a meeting over the sticks in Ireland at Tramore.

Rounding off Tuesday’s fixture list is an evening all-weather fixture on the tapeta at Wolverhampton.

Five meetings will head to post throughout Wednesday, with afternoon action over the sticks from both Hexham and Leicester, while Lingfield race on their all-weather polytrack surface.

Meanwhile, the evening all-weather racing action comes from the cards at Chelmsford and Kempton who both also race on their polytrack surfaces.

Five meetings again head to post on Thursday, and the day’s jumps racing action comes from the meetings at Newcastle and Taunton, as well as from Warwick where the Listed Lady Godiva Mares’ Novices Chase heads the afternoon’s action.

Meanwhile, the evening all-weather racing come from Wolverhampton’s card on tapeta as well as the Chelmsford polytrack

A further five UK and Irish horse racing fixtures head to post throughout Friday, with day one of the International Meeting taking centre-stage of the day at Cheltenham where the Grade Three BetVictor Handicap Chase is the highlight of day one.

Elsewhere, there is further jumps racing from both Bangor and Doncaster; while all-weather action in the evening comes from the Chelmsford polytrack, as well as from Dundalk in Ireland who also race on their polytrack surface.

A six-fixture line-up of UK and Irish horse racing meetings take place on Saturday, headlined by day two of the Cheltenham International Meeting featuring the Grade Two International Hurdle on a card that also includes the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup.

Elsewhere, there is also jumps racing from Hereford and Doncaster where Grade Two action takes place on Town Moor with both the Decemeber Novices’ Chase and the Summit Juvenile Hurdle on the agenda.

There is also jumps racing from Ireland with Fairyhouse going to post.

Saturday’s all-weather racing meanwhile comes from Newcastle in the afternoon on their tapeta surface, and from Wolverhampton in the evening who also race on tapeta.
