Brian Healy looks ahead to this week’s UK and Irish horse racing meetings and details the highlights punters have to look forward to over the next seven days.
Another cracking week of UK and Irish horse racing meetings awaits punters over the course of the next seven days, and this week’s feature sees three days of classy action taking place at Cheltenham for their November Festival meeting featuring the BetVictor Gold Cup on the Saturday, as well as the Grade Two Shloer Chase on Sunday.
There is also Grade One action in Ireland on Saturday with the Morgiana Hurdle; while the Southern National dominates Sunday’s racecard at Fontwell.
MONDAY 11 NOVEMBER
Four fixtures go to post on Monday, and the day’s jumps racing action comes from Kempton, Carlisle and Stratford, as well as from Fairyhouse in Ireland.

A further four UK and Irish horse racing meetings go to post on Tuesday, and there is jumps racing action taking place at Huntingdon, Hereford and Lingfield; while in Ireland there is a second day of racing over the sticks at Fairyhouse.

A quieter afternoon of UK horse racing fixtures sees just three meetings going to post as racing in Ireland takes a day off.
Wednesday’s fixtures sees jumps racing from Ayr and Exeter, as well as from Bangor where there is Listed action on the card.

THURSDAY 14 NOVEMBER
Four UK and Irish horse racing fixtures take place on Thursday, where the day’s jumps racing action comes from Taunton, Ludlow and Sedgefield; while at Clonmel in Ireland there is Grade Two action with the Clonmel Oil Chase.

Another four UK and Irish horse racing meetings go to post, headed by day one of the Cheltenham November Meeting where there is Grade Two action on the card with the Hyde Novices’ Hurdle.
Meanwhile, Newcastle and Southwell are also both racing over the sticks, while in Ireland in the evening there is action under the floodlights at Dundalk.

SATURDAY 16 NOVEMBER
The second day of the Cheltenham November Festival meeting dominates Saturday’s fixture list, where the feature Grade Three BetVictor Gold Cup is joined by the Grade Two Prestbury Juvenile Hurdle on a cracking card.
One of six UK and Irish horse racing fixtures to go to post, further jumps racing action takes place at Uttoxeter and Wetherby, as well as from Punchestown in Ireland there the Grade One Morgiana Hurdle takes centre-stage.
Meanwhile, Saturday also sees all-weather action on polytrack at Lingfield in the afternoon as well as Wolverhampton in the evening on their tapeta surface.

The week ends with a four fixture line-up of UK and Irish horse racing meetings, featuring the third day of the Cheltenham November Festival meeting where the Grade Two Shloer Chase is joined by the competitive Grade Three Greatwood Handicap Hurdle on a cracking final day.
There is also jumps racing at Fontwell where the Southern National goes to post; while in Ireland there are meetings at Cork and also Punchestown where the Grade Two Florida Pearl Chase is the feature race of the day.
