John McConnell’s charge got off the mark over this course in September, beating Dunum by a head and he repeated the dose over the same rival at Thurles earlier this month with a three-parts of a length victory with both coming under this rider.
This longer trip could eke out more improvement and while he’s 6lbs higher here following his two victories the lightly-raced sort can continue his upward curve to strike a third successive victory.
