5:10 Leopardstown – Ballsbridge Handicap (3yo+ 50-80) 1m

JUNGLE COVE has just one win to his name from 21 runs and it came on the all-weather at Dundalk; but Jessica Harrington’s charge has been generally consistent in defeat and might be worth chancing to double his tally here.

The Mastercraftsman gelding kept good company as a juvenile a couple of seasons ago and while he hasn’t hit the heights that might have been hoped he has shown himself to be a useful sort and his last run at Cork was another solid effort where he finished third behind Hale Bopp.

That form has been boosted with the runner-up since landing a double while there have been further victories by a couple of horses who finished behind him and he remains fairly treated at the weights despite a 3lbs rise.

Shane Foley returns to the saddle for this assignment and in a race featuring plenty of exposed sorts he could go well.

5:40 Leopardstown – Plusvital Handicap (3yo) 1m

PRIVILEGE has got better with each run and Jessica Harrington’s charge can follow up his breakthrough success at Tipperary last month with another win.

The Holy Roman Emperor gelding had finished third on each of his first two runs, both of which came at this venue prior to making the breakthrough latest where he ran out a ready winner from Got The Moves scoring by just over one length.

There’s likely more to come from him as he makes his way into the handicap ranks now where an opening 85 rating looks fair and with further improvement a big possibility he looks worth chancing here to double his win tally.

6:40 Leopardstown – Irish Stallion Farms EBF “Nasrullah” Handicap (Premier Handicap) (3yo+) 1m2f

SILAIYLI appears to be progressing well, finishing runner-up at Gowran Park last month before going one better at Down Royal latest where the Olympic Glory colt ran out a four lengths’ winner over Sheer Chance.

Mick Halford’s charge now steps into handicaps from a potentially workable mark and he’s still unexposed after just four career starts so may well have more in the locker to come.

This does look competitive but he’s open to improvement taking on mostly older horses, many of whom are exposed now and given he won eased down last time he might prove a potentially smart sort who can continue to show progress over this trip and no surprise to see him in the mix.

7:10 Leopardstown – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Stanerra Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies & Mares) (3yo+) 1m6f

FEDERICA SOPHIA won over this course last July on just her second career start and Dermot Weld’s charge is taken to resume winning ways here with the longer trip a possible source of improvement for the Galileo filly.

Fourth to Tauran Shaman on her reappearance back here in May she stepped up to twelve furlongs at Cork in June where she sported first-time blinkers in finishing runner-up behind Morph Speed, beaten less than one length in the Cork Derby.

She finished well that day to suggest that she could be seen to better effect over an even further trip and she steps up again in distance with a first-time visor now applied. There may be more to come and the prospect of a stronger pace will be a good thing for her and she can make her presence felt here.
