Loader’s Daily Double – 4/1 double taking in races at Lingfield and Wolverhampton

Chris Loader rolls his NAP and Next Best into his Daily Double, covering races at Lingfield and Wolverhampton on Friday 24th January.

It was a contrasting mix of emotions with our first Racing Tips daily double. Benie Des Dieux bolted up on her seasonal debut very impressively for Willie Mullins in the Galmoy Hurdle to get us off to a winning start. In the final leg I thought Chef Des Obeaux was given a strange ride which was different to his encouraging performance at Leopardstown which saw him get pulled up early. However I’m hoping we can bounce back today with both selections focusing on the All-Weather. Best odds available here with William Hill.

Friday’s Daily Double

3.45 Lingfield – Ice Pyramid

Philip Kirby sends a rare runner down to Lingfield tomorrow in the shape of Ice Pyramid in an Amateurs Race. Despite him bolting up at Newcastle last time out he’s going to be incredibly well treated carrying a 5lb penalty against weaker rivals. Also the booking of Simon Walker is a positive as he’s won this particular race three times since 2014.

5.15 Wolverhampton – Griggy

Griggy was seeking the hat-trick bid at Wolverhampton last time out, but excuses can be made after a slow start and meeting traffic in running. The four-year-old still looks open to progression after comfortable successes at Lingfield & Chelmsford. Furthermore Sean Curran’s team have had a resurgence of late and last season he yielded 37% win rate with all his runners from his small by select team. With Adam Kirby booked for the ride I’m hoping Griggy can come out on the right side this time around.
