Loader’s Daily Double – Best bets at Newcastle and Chelmsford
Chris Loader rolls his two best bets today into this Daily Double, covering races at Newcastle and Chelmsford on Thursday 27th February.
It seems like long time ago since we had that last 23-1 double a couple of weeks ago with the Racing Tips Daily Double. We’ve had several near misses but I’m hoping our time is time due again for a nice payout.
Both selections today come on the All-Weather from Newcastle and Chelmsford. Best odds available with Ladbrokes.
Thursday’s Daily Double
3.40 Newcastle – Paddleyourowncanoe
This horse has been exploiting untapped potential for Colin Tizzard in recent starts with victories at Southwell & Lingfield. Today Tizzard sends this horse all the way up to Gosforth Park. For this race he will be running off a mark of 75 which looks fair and I believe he could still have 10-15lbs in hand of the handicapper. Also the course will suit too and the six-year-old has bags of stamina and the long straight should be fine. Furthermore former Champion Jockey, Silvestre De Sousa is booked with a low racing weight. It seems that there is a lot in favour for the son of Nayef to notch up another success.
7.00 Chelmsford – Second Collection
This filly did me several favours last year winning twice at Wolverhampton. So far this season the four-year-old has been keeping better company for Tony Carroll and has run with some distinction. Today she’s dropping in grade but should be more than capable despite carry a big weight. Also her tactics could suit as she’s a hold up horse who likes to be played late. Moreover Tom Marquand is jocked up for the ride and had a good relationship with her last season. If there is a strong pace which there should be on paper I expect Second Collection to pick up the pieces.
