Loader’s Daily Double – 35/1 double at Newcastle
Chris Loader rolls his two best bets on Tuesday into this double, covering two races at Newcastle on Tuesday 28th January.
We’ve been amongst the winners of late and I am hoping we can continue the form this Tuesday. Today’s Daily Double features both selections from Newcastle. Best odds available here with Paddy Power.

Tuesday’s Daily Double
1.10 Newcastle – Paper Promise
This mare probably was up against last time running for two and half miles for Donald Whillans. She ran a respectable race but just faded down the home straight and dropping back in trip to two miles looks a massive positive. The daughter of Gamut has a good record over this far with all three career victories over this distance. Furthermore the handicapper has dropped her 2lbs to a mark off 106 which looks fair. The eight-year-old’s cause will be also aided by Callum Whillans claiming 3lbs. I think the opportunity has come for Paper Promise to secure another victory at Newcastle.
3.10 Newcastle – What’s The Scoop
Danny Cook and Sue Smith an often a combination to follow in January and are currently yielding a 24% strike rate in the past fortnight. What’s The Scoop has been frustrating for connections in his career still remaining a maiden after thirteen starts. However today might be his day, has he ran a good race last time when seen to finish second in a slightly better contest. Moreover dropping back in trip I think is the right move and his rating of 100 looks workable. With his market rival Dunly carrying a penalty, I beleive What’s The Scoop is the one to be with and could be an attractive price come post time.
