Loader’s Lucky 15 – Huge multiples covering races at Leopardstown, Kelso and Doncaster on Sunday

Chris Loader highlights four horses to back on Sunday, taking in races at Leopardstown, Kelso and Doncaster on Sunday 29th December.

After a few crazy of days of racing I’m resuming to normal service with my EW Lucky15. My picks on Sunday come from Doncaster, Kelso & Leopardstown.

Sunday’s Lucky 15

Harry Fry sends a rare runner over the Irish Sea to Leopardstown in the shape of Onefortheroadtom. The JP McManus owned gelding has always promised a big win with his performances but always seems to have an excuse, however I think this could be his day. When he was last seen the bookmakers made him a warm favourite to land a valuable handicap at Cheltenham. However the ground was slightly against him and this looks a weaker affair. In the race he will be running off 122 which appears fair and with Liam McKenna claiming 4lbs, this will further aid his cause. Surely this has to be his opportunity.

The step up in trip will be a massive advantage for Rubytwo who found the trip on the short side at Kelso. Last time we saw her she finished in second place and has been a model of consistency finding one too good. However she has a lot of things in her favour today and Nicky Richards’ team have been in flying form and I expect her to get her head in front.

Slanelough still remains a maiden over fences but keeps making the frame. The only time he has appeared at Doncaster, he won which was over hurdles. His last two efforts have been really encouraging finished in the places. I believe the track will suit as he’s a strong traveller and the Yorkshire course can suit hold up horses. With Rose Dobbin’s yard in better form I expect him to go close.

This veteran never runs a bad race and went well on to finish in third place at the Borders National earlier this month. He’s a strong stayer and has a great relationship with Amie Waugh. I think he can give us a winner in our final leg.
