Loader’s Lucky 15 – best bets, Monday January 6

It was a mixed bag on Sunday with our latest Each Way Lucky 15 as we yielded 10-3 & 10–1 placed efforts. Hopefully, we can turn it around and make it a profitable start to the week twith my best bets on Monday.

Our Dots Baby (12.50 Chepstow)

This eight-year old mare has lost her way since joining Zoe Davison after previously having some useful form when with Jeremy Scott, which included a third in a Listed mares handicap at Newbury. This race looks her easiest assignment for some time and I think she’s well up to winning a race of this nature. Her latest effort was a bit more encouraging in a better race at Newbury but she blew up in the straight and I’m hoping she might be too hard to peg back if she’s gets an uncontested lead.

Clem A (6.15 Wolverhampton)

Despite hanging last time out, the victory was never in doubt for Clem A. The son of Helmet asserted well in the closing stages and hinted at the ability he showed on his penultimate start when catching the eye at Wolverhampton.  Jack Mitchell is a positive jockey booking as he’s been riding at a 27% strike rate in recent weeks. Trainer Alan Bailey announced he’s retiring soon so his connections will be hoping that Clem A can give him a winner.

Halfacrown (6.45 Wolverhampton)

Halfacrown has run some encouraging races on his recent starts when making the frame for Jamie Osborne. He’s pitched in here off a rating of 50, which looks fair, and he could still be open to improvement. The form of some of his recent races have been boosted and I think he’s one to keep on side this evening.

Yimkin (7.45 Wolverhampton)

Yimkin made her debut for Marco Botti over Christmas and she was entitled to need the run. She was previously with Roger Charlton and was a winner at Kempton, demonstrating she has form on the all-weather. If any money is around, I suspect the daughter of Kingman to go very close.
