MONDAY TIPS FOR TIPPERARY – IRISH HORSE RACING BEST BETS
1:30 Tipperary – Junction Handicap Hurdle (4yo+ 80-109) 2m
GUIDO RENI has been rather in and out over hurdles since landing his last success which came over this course and distance, but the Excelebration gelding is taken to get back to winning ways and arrives fit from the flat.
Karl Thornton’s charge was last seen in this sphere finishing ninth at Fairyhouse back in April 2019, but he’s since ticked over on the flat following a return from more than a year off, only once finishing out of the frame and getting to within a short-head of victory at Leopardstown eleven days ago behind Sweet Affection.
If he can continue his good spell back over timber then he can go well returned to the scene of his last victory and no surprise if making his presence felt here.
2:00 Tipperary – MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Maiden Hurdle (4yo) 2m4f
She won’t be much of a price but FINEST EVERMORE is likely to be hard to beat on her handicap debut and Willie Mullins’ charge looked an exciting prospect when impressively scoring in a Cork bumper last month.
The Yeats filly was making her first start for this yard following a very good runner-up effort in an Exeter bumper for her previous handler David Harry Kelly where she found only Shinobi too good. But she put the experience to good use and landed a gamble in the process when running out a five lengths’ victor over April’s Moon and others.
This extra yardage on her hurdling debut looks in her favour and she’s likely to take plenty of stopping here as she bids to follow up that Cork success on her first crack at hurdling.
2:30 Tipperary – MansionBet Proud To Support Irish Racing Handicap Hurdle (4yo+) 2m4f
THE TRIGGER is going from strength to strength over hurdles and fences, racking up a fifth successive win when successful back over the larger obstacles at Downpatrick eight days ago, easily.
Prior to that win he had reeled off a hat-trick of hurdles starts having started his win sequence on the back of a break with a chase win here at the beginning of July.
Ronan McNally’s veteran Beneficial gelding looks worth sticking with while in his current purple patch and he returns to hurdling where he could yet be capable of defying this higher rating if continuing in his winning groove.
The form of his last hurdles win was boosted by the runner-up winning next time and the veteran can continue his winning spree if turning out again in similar mood.
3:30 Tipperary – Bet 10 Euros Get 20 Euros With MansionBet Handicap Hurdle (Div II) (4yo+ 80-95) 3m
This looks a very poor contest but it might represent a good opportunity for RIPPON LODGE to get off the mark having struck the crossbar the last twice.
John Patrick Ryan’s Scorpion gelding had shown some ability over hurdles previously, but he produced a solid effort to find only Ballycastle Girl too strong at Kilbeggan at the beginning of August and followed up that run when beaten only one length by Drifting Back at Ballinrobe latest.
The emphasis on stamina the last twice has appeared to coincide with his better efforts and this return to three miles is in his favour back in a handicap where he can take advantage of this mark to shed his maiden tag in a weak race.
