To go alongside this unmissable offer, our expert editor has provided a selection for the opening 1:45 contest as well as the remaining six races where you can place your Free Bets with Paddy Power.
Universal Folly – 1:45 Doncaster
Seven-year-old UNIVERSAL FOLLY has been fairly consistent since returning this campaign for trainer Nicky Richards, registering a first career success over hurdles at Carlisle three starts back under a strong ride by jockey Danny McMenamin.
Universal Folly almost followed up on that breakthrough success when narrowly denied at Musselburgh over 2m4f on his penultimate start, only finding the well-backed Diamond Sate too strong in the closing stages.
A return to 2miles saw the seven-year-old shape well under jockey Brian Hughes at Ayr last time out and whilst he couldn’t reel in the pace-setting Fame Valley or Cellar Vie on that occasion, it was still a fine effort and is clearly capable of winning from his generous mark of 114.
Get A Tonic – 2:20 Doncaster
The mares Listed event should be all about GET A TONIC who has leading claims as she bids for a first win against Listed opposition.
The six-year-old was quick to make her mark over timber this season, racking up a quickfire double in maiden and novice hurdle company at Leicester and Uttoxeter in impressive fashion.
The mare has reached the frame in her last two starts behind some useful prospects including on her penultimate start when running a creditable third behind I Am Maximus and the well regarded Henry Daly runner, Hillcrest.
Dan Skelton’s improving charge looks to have far less on her plate this weekend and whilst she remains a warm favourite, it’s hard to see her passing up this winnable opportunity.
The Big Bite – 2:55 Doncaster
Henry Oliver’s charge often saves his best for racing at Town Moor, and with course form figures of 1-2-2, it’s hard to see past THE BIG BITE who was unlucky to bump into the well treated and subsequent Grade 2 winner Funambule Sivola on his latest start.
The Big Bite had previously been disappointing on his previous chasing starts but certainly enjoyed the return to Doncaster as the nine-year-old caught the eye under Brian Hughes to finish second from well off the pace.
Racing off the same mark on Saturday, The Big Bite looks to have plenty in his favour and connections will be expecting him to return to winning ways.
Le Milos – 3:30 Doncaster
Arguably one of the stronger bets on Doncaster’s card is without question, LE MILOS who has significantly improved since attention has switched to fences this season and is now in search of a hat-trick of wins.
Tim Vaughan’s rapidly progressive charge was quick to make a statement over staying trips this season when slamming his rivals into the ground at Exeter on his penultimate start, jumping impeccably throughout to win hard held by 7.5l.
Le Milos then followed up last month at Sandown again over 3miles when seeing off the late challenge of Sandown course specialist Deise Aba by a head, staying on dourly under regular partner Alan Johns to prevail.
Future entries in the Midlands Grand National over 4m2f suggests that this horse is expected to thrive over further and the step up to 3m2f could see Tim Vaughan’s runner in an even better light this weekend.
The seven-year-old has plenty more to come and could one day be seen in the Welsh Grand National later down the line, and is hard to look past on Saturday.
Teescomponents Lad – 4:05 Doncaster
TEESCOMPONENTS LAD should relish the return to 3miles and whilst the yard may have more obvious claims with the hat-trick seeking Sultans Pride, the nine-year-old can reward connections after posting some creditable efforts in defeat this year.
The nine-year-old should be spot on for Saturday’s contest after racing over an inadequate trip when last seen at Carlisle in February. Teescomponents Lad was outpaced but stayed on well in the closing stages to snatch third and is bound to appreciate a step back up in trip.
A 2lb lower mark aids his cause further and perhaps the re-fitting of blinkers will spark the necessary improvement to return to the winner’s enclosure.
Lupus Regem – 4:40 Doncaster
Olly Murphy will be confident of leaving Doncaster with a winner with his only entry on the card LUPUS REGEM.
The six-year-old was an impressive bumper winner last campaign and whilst he unseated early on hurdling debut at Uttoxeter, the six-year-old has looked much more accomplished over timber in recent starts, posting an impressive win at Newcastle on penultimate start before finishing a close second at Wetherby last time out.
Olly Murphy’s charge looks to have Silver Flyer to contend with but should be able to see off the Donald McCain runner and can go on to better things further down the line.
Bellica – 5:15 Doncaster
It might be worth chancing a newcomer in the last and with trainer Pam Sly enjoying bumper success in recent times with stable star and smart filly Eileendover, it could pay to side with her mare BELLICA who should be monitored closely in the betting on the first start.
The mare is smartly bred and has plenty of flat racing influences in her pedigree which suggests she could be a fairly smart prospect for connections in these types of bumper events.
