5:10 Roscommon – Property Partners Earley Auctioneers Fillies Handicap (3yo+) 7½f
ZUMORADDA has shown enough in her handful of starts to suggest she’s well up to winning a race of this nature and Dermot Weld’s charge can get off the mark here.
Runner-up on her final run last term the Awtaad filly has returned this term to make the frame on both starts in handicaps, finishing a short-head second on her reappearance behind New Hill and third latest at Leopardstown where she wasn’t seen to best effect over the longer trip.
She’s back down in distance today which could show her up better and while her mark has crept up another 2lbs she could yet have more improvement to come. Still relatively unexposed she can go well again in this contest and every chance she can land a first career win here.
6:10 Roscommon – Thanks To All The Frontline Workers Apprentice Handicap (Div II) (3yo+ 45-65) 7½f
MISS FLORENTINE is relatively a lightly-raced sort and while still a maiden has shown bits and pieces of ability, enough to suggest she’s up to winning a race like this.
Ross O’sullivan’s charge finished a good fourth when last seen at Cork, beaten around four lengths by Navarrosse over this trip and she features here from a workable mark given her past exploits in handicaps had her rated higher and she finished fourth from a 48 rating last October so is capable of defying her current mark.
Her rider can take another 2lbs off her back making her even more well-treated and she ought to make her presence felt in what looks a weaker race than last time.
7:10 Roscommon – Athlone Handicap (3yo) 1m2f
HIMALAYAN BEAUTY showed some ability in maiden contest last term but took a forward step on her handicap bow when finding only one too good at Gowran Park earlier in the month and the The Gurkha filly can build on that run to go one better.
Jessica Harrington’s charge wore a hood for the first time on that occasion, finishing second to Moddy Poddle by two lengths where she kept on well without threatening the winner and this stiffer test might bring about some more improvement.
The headgear is left off this time but she should be sharper for her recent run and the yard is in good form so there’d be no surprise in seeing her going well and she can open her win account now.
7:40 Roscommon – Lenebane Stakes (Listed Race) (3yo+) 1m4f
REVE DE VOL was highly tried last term following his debut success at Fairyhouse in July where the Siyouni gelding got the better of Ontario, but he cut little ice in a number of starts in Pattern company although did finish third in the Group Two Champions Juvenile Stakes behind Cadillac and Ger Lyons’ charge made a winning return at the Curragh earlier this month.
He ran out a narrow victor over Patrick Sarsfield on that occasion, scoring by a head to take the Listed Orby Stakes and getting up close home. That form was done no harm when the runner-up filled the same spot next time in the Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot while the fourth has since landed a bronze medal in the Ribblesdale Stakes.
There could be more to come from him in the wake of that reappearance victory which came on the back of more than seven months off and likely to be sharper for the run he looks capable of following up with further improvement expected.
