SATURDAY ALL-WEATHER TIPS – BEST BETS AT LINGFIELD & WOLVERHAMPTON

1:25 Lingfield – Ladbrokes Watch Racing Online For Free Fillies’ Novice Stakes Cl5 (3yo+) 6f

MUMMY BEAR stepped up on a promising debut fifth at Chelmsford to find only one too good latest over course and distance and the Kodi Bear filly can go one better here to get off the mark at the third attempt.

Richard Hughes’ charge was beaten around a length and a half in that latest outing although she arguably did well to finish as close as she did given she was forced wide turning in and lost ground on the pack before running on well.

That form has been boosted and with the possibility of further improvement to come under Ryan Moore then she can strike here to open her win account.

2:35 Lingfield – Bombardier British-Hopped Amber Beer Handicap Cl4 (4yo+ 0-80) 1m

It might be worth chancing ACCOMPLICE to come out on top in a decent contest given her solid course and distance record and Michael Blanshard’s charge ought to make her presence felt.

The Sakhee’s Secret mare has won two of her last three starts, both of which have come over C&D and there’s a chance the handicapper might yet have failed to catch up with her given the narrow margins of her successes.

Her last two wins over course and distance have seen her score by just a short-head, latterly getting up late to deny Thrill Seeker and while the handicapper applies a bit more pressure with a career-high mark she could be worth chancing nonetheless given her current mood.

Saturday all-weather tips. Ryan Moore can get amongst the winners at Lingfield.

3:10 Lingfield – Betway Casino Handicap Cl5 (4yo+ 0-70) 1m2f

CONVERTIBLE might be worth taking to come out on top in a trappy looking contest and the Helmet gelding can get back to winning ways.

Hugo Palmer’s charge was a winner on turf at Redcar last November, beating a fair yardstick in Jewel Maker by a length and after a couple of runs on tapeta he’s improved for the switch to polytrack and a step up in trip to make the frame in each of his last two runs over course and distance.

His latest saw him beaten just over one length by Noble Peace where he possibly did too much in front and racing off the same mark here under Ryan Moore he might be able to get back on the scoresheet.

5:15 Wolverhampton – Bombardier British-Hopped Amber Beer Handicap (Div II) Cl6 (4yo+ 0-60) 1m½f

HERON’S NEST has been in good form of late, rattling the crossbar in each of his last four starts which includes two over course and distance and the Starspangledbanner filly can snap her sequence of near misses with a return to winning ways here.

Jonathan Butler’s charge latterly was beaten just a half-length at Kempton beind Like Sugar, running on well late and the form of her previous second to Universal Effect was boosted when that one went in again next time.

She’s only 1lb higher in the weights here and given her current good spell of form she can gain a deserved success if running to a similar level.

7:15 Wolverhampton – Betway Handicap Cl2 (4yo+ 0-105) 5f

VENTUROUS has won four of his last five starts which includes over course and distance and the Raven’s Pass can continue his good spell of form with another success here.

David Barron’s charge most recently ran out a ready winner over Ornate over this trip at Newcastle, scoring by a length and a half and that form has been boosted with both the runner-up and fourth horses home winning since.

He’s 3lbs higher here and not guaranteed to get the strong pace he craves to be seen at his best; but if there’s some decent speed to the contest then he could continue his good spell and every chance he can strike again granted a decent pace to aim at.

7:45 Wolverhampton – Play 4 To Score At Betway Handicap Cl4 (4yo+ 0-85) 1m1½f

This could go the way of DARK PINE who had the reopposing Arji in arrears when scoring at Chelmsford last month and the Dandy Man gelding can follow up here.

David Loughnane’s charge was a maiden in Ireland when trained by Dermot Weld but he did post some solid runs in defeat prior to his move to this yard and he struck by a neck over his reopposing rival on his yard debut in January.

He was in receipt of 2lbs from his rival on that occasion and the pair compete on level weights this time around; however that one was a shade disappointing when last seen and the selection could have more to offer given he’s a shade less unexposed and he can confirm the places here.
