Saturday 19th October expert tips – One Master, Stradivarius and Magical the tipster’s treble on Champions Day

We’ve taken a look through various horse racing media publications to see which horses the newspaper tipsters are backing on Champions Day at Ascot.

2.45 Fleeting (6/1 Coral)

3.20 The Revenant (4/1 William Hill)

4.00 Magical (6/4 BetVictor)

4.40 Biometric (12/1 Unibet)

Sam Turner (The Daily Mail)

Ascot

1.35 One Master (9/2 BetVictor)

2.10 Stradivarius (8/13 Unibet)

2.45 Tarnawa (7/1 William Hill)

3.20 Lord Glitters (NAP) (15/2 William Hill)

4.00 Magical (6/4 BetVictor)

4.40 Kynren (8/1 Unibet)

Templegate (The Sun)

Ascot

1.35 Say Hello in the Champions Sprint. HELLO YOUMZAIN (6/1 Unibet) clocked a massive personal best when winning the Haydock Sprint Cup last time over this trip. He relished the give in the ground there and had plenty left crossing the line.

2.10 They all have to play second fiddle to STRADIVARIUS (8/13 Unibet) again. Given that the ground on the inner Flat course is much better than the straight, it’s hard to see any of his rivals landing a serious blow.

2.45 Take a tip from Frankie and back STAR CATCHER (7/4 BetVictor) in the fillies and mares’. John Gosden has got two massive chances and he’s gone for the daughter of Sea The Stars ahead of Anapurna.

3.20 BENBATL (7/1 BetVictor) can win the war. He came back from a year off to run away with a Group 2 at Newmarket last month. That was an impressive effort and Oisin Murphy barely had to move as he cruised home. The opposition is stronger here but that was very slick and he has three wins under his belt at this level.

4.00 CORONET (4/1 Coral) can give Frankie Dettori and John Gosden their third Champion Stakes in a row. She may not be in Cracksman’s class but this doesn’t look the strongest renewal of this race.

4.40 CLON COULIS (9/1 Unibet) can run another mighty race at Ascot. She was beaten on the nod in the Royal Hunt Cup on her last visit. She relished the testing ground that day and goes off the same handicap mark.
