THURSDAY RACING TIPS FOR NAAS – TODAY’S BEST IRISH RACING BETS
1:25 Naas – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden (IRE Incentive Race) (2yo) 6f
PIRATE JENNY shaped well on her debut at Navan last month and Ger Lyons’ charge can build on that first effort to get off the mark at the second attempt.
The Exceed and Excel filly found only one too good in that debut run, finishing only a half-length behind Hms Endeavour with a subsequent winner behind and she’s related to a smart family of winners sho likely has more to offer.
These extra few yards are likely to prove positive and open to improvement on the back of that first effort she ought to go well again and can go one better.
2:35 Naas – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (2yo) 5f
NEW YORK CITY can get off the mark at the second attempt having run well on debut and Aidan O’Brien’s charge is expected to improve on the back of that first effort.
The Invincible Spirit colt finished third on that first occasion behind Anatoli, beaten just over a half length having missed the break but running on well in a Dundalk maiden and likely to be sharper for the experience the Ballydoyle runner should present a different proposition now.
A full brother to Invincible Army who himself got better with experience there’s likely better to come from him on the back of that debut and he should make his presence felt.
3:10 Naas – Naas Racecourse Nursery Handicap (2yo) 5f
MEMORY MOTEL has improved with each of her three runs to date, finishing third when last seen at Cork last month and Fozzy Stack’s charge can continue her race-by-race improvement to get off the mark here.
The Kodiac filly was beaten three lengths behidn Brombeag Banner, keeping on well but unable to land a blow on the front pair but looking suited to the minimum trip and back on a better surface switching to a handicap there may be better still to come.
She wore blinkers last time which seemed to elicit a positive reaction and if the headgear works again then there’s no reason why she shouldn’t be involved here.
4:20 Naas – Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden (IRE Incentive Race) (2yo) 7f
GAIRE OS ARD has had a few chances to win and while the Teofilo filly is still searching for a first success Jim Bolger’s charge has been running consistently well in defeat where she’s made the frame the last twice.
Runner-up at this venue two runs ago she has since finished third at Down Royal behind a useful prospect and she could show a bit more now equipped with a tongue-tie for the first time.
She does have a bit more to do in order to reverse form with Nawraq who reopposes here and finished ahead of her last time; but on these better terms she could get the job done and no surprise to see a different outcome this time around.
