TIPPERARY TIPS ON MONDAY – BEST BETS IN IRELAND ON THE FLAT

2:05 Tipperary – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden (2yo) 1m1f

SUSSEX ran very green on his debut at the Curragh back in August but with that experience under his belt it might be worth chancing on the Dubawi colt to improve and produce a better effort this time around.

Aidan O’Brien’s charge was made plenty of use of on that first occasion but was undone by inexperience and faded; but he’ll have learned plenty for that run and he can do better stepping up in trip now.

He wouldn’t be the first from the yard to improve dramatically on the back of their debut run and ought to make his presence felt here.

Tipperary tips on Monday. Trainer Aidan O'Brien can saddle a winner on the Tipperary card.

2:35 Tipperary – Irish EBF Supporting TREO EILE Fillies Maiden (3yo+) 1m1f

MORACANA has shaped with promise in both her starts to date and the Elzaam filly can get off the mark now at the third attempt.

Sheila Lavery’s charge finished runner-up on her debut at Navan back in August behind Barretta, beaten five lengths and she ran at least as well despite only finishing fourth behind Champion Green when stepped up to this trip at Punchestown latest last month.

She finished off that race well despite having missed the break so the effort can be marked up and the runner-up in the contest has since given the form a boost by winning next time out. Assuming she handles these much deeper conditions then she can find another jolt of improvement and no surprise if she were to go close here.

3:35 Tipperary – Coolmore U S Navy Flag Concorde Stakes (Group 3) (3yo+) 7½f

CARRYTHEONE won for this column when getting back on the scoresheet at Gowran Park last month and Johnny Murtagh’s charge can continue his progress to follow up here upped in class.

The Lope De Vega gelding has proven himself to be smart, winning twice last term and building on his reappearance at the Curragh to resume winning ways latest where he readily saw off Forest OF Dreams by almost four lengths.

He takes a step up in class here as he enters Pattern company for the first time while the deeper ground is an unknown; while on the balance of his form he does need to find a bit of improvement.

However there’s likely better to come and he’s still a relatively unexposed sort who can find another jolt of improvement to make his presence felt in this stronger race.
