Horse Racing tips

There is some great action on Tuesday with a good mixture of Flat and jumps racing and our experts have picked out their best bet at each of the four meetings

So check out today’s horse racing tips and don’t forget to click the links to take advantage of the best price on offer

BOTTOM BAY (4.00 Beverley, 1m handicap)

Lots to like about this horse who was a course-and-distance winner last time out. That victory came when beating Le Chiffre, who had won his two previous starts, so the form looks solid.

Bottom Bay is still likely to improve with this being only his sixth career start and leading apprentice Cieren Fallon takes off a valuable 3lb.

SECRET MELODY (4.20 Southwell, 2m handicap chase)

Would have been in contention for the win when unseating his rider three form home at Market Rasen.

Was well backed throughout the course of the day before that run so connections presumably thought there was potential off his current handicap mark.

Before that, he again went close when blundering at the last at Bangor, so he has a big chance here if his jumping holds up.

ZUMURUD (4.50 Catterick, 7f handicap)

Predominantly campaigned over 6f, he’s had just one run over this trip but style of racing suggests he should handle the step up in distance.

Ran really well last time after missing the break and he came with a challenging run inside the final furlong only to be caught late on.

Has won at the track and is now only 1lb higher than his last winning mark so has the conditions to go close.

AFRICAN SUN (7.45 Lingfield, 1m4f handicap)

Shown precisely nothing on the racetrack in five career starts and is not the obvious profile for a bet.

However, this is a shockingly bad race and it is worth noting he was sent off a short price to win at Catterick on his last start but he was virtually pulled up in the straight with his jockey feeling something was amiss.

Clearly there was nothing wrong with him but the money suggested he has some ability and is fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.
