FRATERNITY was a fair sort on the flat for Richard Fahey last summer, wining at Ripon and the Zoffany filly offered plenty to work on when finishing fifth on her hurdles debut at Fairyhouse last month on her first start for Anthony Mullins.
Racing freely early she belted a few on the way round the course and she folded late into fifth having cut out a fair proportion of the running from the third hurdle until headed two out.
That was her first run in four months and the experience might have been needed while the form was given a boost with the third filling the same position next time; she could be worth chancing then to build on that first run over timber where she can do better assuming her hurdling improves.

Bachasson is likely to prove hard to beat for the all-powerful Willie Mullins team but a chance is taken on stablemate ANNAMIX causing an upset and getting back on the winning trail here.
The Martaline gelding is lightly raced over fences, winning his first two outings over the larger obstacles at Fairyhouse and here in November where he brushed aside Spyglass Hill – reopposes here – by nine lengths.
He’s since finished fourth to Chacun Poir Soi and third to Allaho at Thurles latterly where he was a shade disappointing and beaten a long way although he surely wasn’t helped by a bad mistake three out which might have knocked the stuffing out of him and he wasn’t given a hard time.
The runner-up in that race boosted the form and he can deliver a big performance here assuming his jumping holds up although he will need to find a chunk of improvement if he’s to get the better of his stablemate even in receipt of 5lbs.

ANTEY has had a few problems in the jumping department with three incompletions over the larger obstacles from seven runs; however Willie Mullins’ charge has shown some decent form and ability when getting round and he could be worth chancing to get off the mark in this sphere having found only one too good latest.
The Lord Of England gelding won twice over hurdles earlier in his career and he was initially set some stiff tasks switched to chasing on the back of a lengthy absence, taking on the likes of Faugheen and Melon with little success and failing subsequently to complete the course in runs here and at Thurles.
Sixth to Energumene on his reappearance he looked set to go close at Fairyhouse when blundering away his chance by getting rid of his rider two out. He latterly was beaten just two lengths over this course last month where his jumping again wasn’t all it could be but he finished clear of the third and if he can brush up in that department then he can make his presence felt back up in trip for his in-form yard.

WEIHNACHTS had been running better than his bare form figures suggest before the Beat Hollow gelding got off the mark at Fairyhouse latest and it might be worth sticking with Philip Rothwell’s charge now he’s got his head in front.
The seven-year old struck by three lengths on that occasion from the reopposing Benefit North although he was value for more than that margin having been heavily eased by Simon Torrens who takes the reins again here.
He’s 10lbs higher in the weights now following that success but there could be more to come from him and if arriving in similar form then he can follow up here having won with something in hand last time.
