Horse Racing Tips on Tuesday, March 8
There are three meetings spread across Britain on Tuesday, March 8th with the action coming from Newcastle, Sandown and Wolverhampton. Our expert tipster has produced their best bets across the cards, which make up our advised Tuesday Lucky 15.
Tfou (1.00 Newcastle)
The Go Racing With vickers.bet Novices’ Hurdle opens the Newcastle card, and at the prices, TFOU rates the value play for Nicky Richards.
This son of Authorized saw his price shoot from €20,000 as a yearling to €180,000 as a store, and he was backed as though something special was expected when sent off the 8/11F for a bumper at Ayr in January, even though there was an in-form Gordon Elliott runner in attendance.
Tfou looked all at sea that day, becoming unbalanced on the bend and looking a little tapped for toe when the pace increased. The penny dropped in notable fashion late in the day, with Tfou motoring home for second, and that initial experience is expected to have done him the world of good.
Brian Hughes maintains the partnership here, and stepping up half a mile looks a big plus on the evidence of that Ayr second. Expect Tfou to have been well-schooled over hurdles by his in-form trainer and the previous winners in this line-up don’t appear to set a particularly unattainable standard.

Tuesday Lucky 15 Tips. Nicky Richards can land the Newcastle opener with the unexposed Tfou.
En Couleur (2.05 Newcastle)
This looks a particularly good opportunity for EN COULEUR, who admittedly comes into the first division of the vickers.bet And LHS Champion Racing Novices’ Handicap Hurdle a thirteen-race maiden under rules but has some notable pieces of form to him name which include a fourth in Class 2 company at Musselburgh around this time last year.
En Couleur finished second behind a useful rival in a point at Duncombe Park last month, and that should have teed him up nicely for a return to hurdles.
On his last start in this sphere, En Couleur finished third at Market Rasen and the winner that day is now officially rated 13lb higher. That makes En Couleur look potentially well treated off a pound lower mark and it’s interesting that connections turn to the assistance of Sean Quinlan here, who is fresh off the back of big-race weekend success.
Get With It (2.40 Newcastle)
Rose Dobbin is enjoying a good season and she will be hoping that GET WITH IT can enhance the stable form with victory in the second division of the vickers.bet And LHS Champion Racing Novices’ Handicap Hurdle.
This son of Getaway finished fourth in a novice hurdle at Carlisle last season and the front two that day are now rated 135 and 130 respectivley.
Get With It was making his first start of the current campaign when fifth at Musselburgh last month. He is entitled to strip fitter for that comeback run, and the handicapper has somewhat kindly dropped him 3lb since.
The second start after a wind operation is often the time to catch horses, and over a distance that should suit, off a workable mark of 94, Get With It rates a solid play.

Tuesday Lucky 15 Tips. Craig Nichol can ride a winner on the Newcastle card courtesy of Get With It.
Benson (4.05 Sandown)
The Team Forces Handicap Hurdle has attracted a small but select field and of those entered, it is BENSON that catches the eye.
Dr Richard Newland’s charge was a most progressive handicapper over hurdles last season, even being put up in some quarters as an outsider for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
This campaign hasn’t quite gone to plan but Benson did suggest that a return to form could be imminent when fourth at Wetherby last time out. On RPRs, Benson’s best performance this campaign came when fourth in Listed company here in December. That showing can be upgraded as Benson was positioned on the inside of the track and the three ahead of him all made their challenge from wide positions.
Three of Benson’s top four RPRs have now come at this venue and he has slipped to a mark just a pound above his last winning mark, so this could prove the time to catch him.
