Rounding off the Wednesday action in the evening is a further all-weather fixture on the Kempton polytrack where there is Listed action taking place.

BRIAN HEALY’S NAP OF THE DAY FOR WEDNESDAY 4 DECEMBER
(12.40) BURNISTON ROCKS (9/2, William Hill) hasn’t been beaten far on his last two outings, finishing fourth both times but beaten around three lengths or less, and the Monsieur Bond gelding can get off the mark here.
He has shown some improved form switching to handicaps, and first-time blinkers applied latest seemed to help him find some improvement although he was unable to land much of a blow behind Speed Merchant at Kempton latest.
He was possibly just given too much to do on that occasion, but he remains with some scope for improvement and this looks a weak contest so every chance he can make his presence felt.
(2.50) TACITLY (15/8, Paddy Power) looked in need of the experience when finishing fourth at Kempton last month, but likely to come on for the run then Roger Charlton’s charge could get off the mark at the second attempt.
The Dubawi filly ran green early in that race, but he seemed to learn on the job and he finished to good effect to cross the line around three lengths’ adrift of the winner although he was no match.
A couple of those horses who finished behind him that day have ran well in defeat since, and he should improve for that experience so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him step up on his second outing to finish closer.
12.10 – Global Hope
12.40 – Burniston Rocks
1.10 – Sir Titan
1.45 – Kasbaan
2.15 – Mrs Ivy
2.50 – Tacitly
3.20 – Guaracha
(1.20) KEEP WONDERING (11/10, Bet365) found only a race-fit rival too strong at Aintree last month, but the Scorpion gelding showed up well on that occasion and could improve for the experience.
Philip Hobbs’ charge had won between the flags previously for Donnchadh Doyle prior to his move to this yard, and he showed a decent level of ability to finish five lengths clear of a subsequent winner despite proving no match for the winner.
That was his first start in almost eight months, and he ought to progress for the outing and the experience where he can go one better in a race that looks winnable, and he probably wouldn’t need to improve too much to get off the mark.
(3.00) SPEAK OF THE DEVIL (5/1, William Hill) showed fair form in a trio of hurdles starts having joined Lucinda Russell from the point-to-point sphere; but the Mahler gelding stepped up on his form over timber to find only one too good at Newcastle when faced with fences latest where he finished only two lengths’ adrift of Gatacre Street.
Although no match for the winner, he pulled clear of the third and rest and he could have further improvement to come in this sphere given he was a winner between the flags, and unexposed over fences he can build on his debut effort over the larger obstacles to go one better here.
12.50 – Teescomponentstrig
1.20 – Keep Wondering
1.55 – Dashel Drasher
2.25 – On To Victory
3.00 – Speak Of The Devil
3.30 – Informateur
(4.10) AL DAWODIYA (6/5, Paddy Power) was too green to do herself any justice in a strong Goodwood maiden back in August, but Richard Hannon’s charge stepped up markedly on that debut experience to find only one too good at Chelmsford last month and can improve again to go one place better here.
The Gutaifan filly may just have done too much too soon on that occasion, caught close home having tried to make all; but that was also her first run in almost four months and she possibly just needed the cobwebs being blown off by that run.
Likely to be sharper for that run, she can find further progress on the back of that reappearance where she can open her win account at the third attempt.
(5.10) LADY DANCEALOT (9/2, Ladbrokes) has run well on all three starts at this venue, scoring over course and distance last November, and David Elsworth’s consistent Sir Prancealot filly arrives here on the back of a last-time success at Chelmsford where she ran out a one length winner over Gracious John.
She had finished third or better in eight of her nine prior starts before getting back on the scoresheet, and she ought to continue to give her running despite being hit with a 5lbs rise in the weights.
A few of these rivals were behind her in that latest successful outing, and she can continue to run well where she can confirm recent form with a follow-up success.
3.40 – Maazel
4.10 – Al Dawodiya
4.40 – Mitty’s Smile
5.10 – Lady Dancealot
5.40 – Loxley
6.10 – Royal Star
6.40 – Lethal Missile
7.10 – Brains
