TIPS FOR US RACING AT A GLANCE
18.15 Tampa Bay Downs – BRONX RUMBLE (3/1, William Hill)
19.33 Mahoning Valley – GARDEN QUALITY (5/1, Paddy Power)
20.05 Gulfstream Park – GEA (15/2, William Hill)
20.24 Sam Houston Race Park – AMARDINE (11/2, William Hill)
00.25 Charles Town – LADY’S LADY (SP)
18:15 Tampa Bay Downs (USA) Race 4 (1m 110yds) Starter Optional Claiming
BRONX RUMBLE showed promise in his debut runner-up effort at this track in January. The Chitu colt then delivered an improved performance on the back of that run to get off the mark over course and dsitance with a defeat of Super Duper Happy.
Michael Stidham’s charge scored readily and the race has thrown up a subsequent winner. He could have more to offer and with the potential to improve and follow up here he gets the vote to do so.
19:33 Mahoning Valley (USA) Race 7 (1m 70yds) Claiming
GARDEN QUALITY has gone close the last twice, latterly finishing a close runner-up and having the reopposing Lion Lion one place behind.
Tina Casalinova’s charge can continue to give a good account and can win before too much longer. She may well do so here where she can confirm the form of her latest run with Carlos Inirio’s charge.
20:05 Gulfstream (USA) Race 7 (1m) Claiming
GEA could prove hard to stop in her bid to follow up a recent impressive success over course and distance.
The Animal Kingdom won readily and was value for more than the one length winning margin over a Beautiful Day and a repeat of that effort will likely suffice to see her follow up here taking on some largely out of form rivals.
20:24 Sam Houston Race Park (USA) Race 7 (5f) Claiming
A likely fast pace will suit AMARDINE who shaped well on her first start for Rylee Grudzien when finishing a close third behind Headlining in a claimer here last month.
The Biondetti filly had won at Gulfstream Park last June and she could continue to improve on the back of that latest run which was her first in almost three months.
She doesn’t have the best of the draw to work from here, but the likelihood of a strong pace will help her and she can go close.
00:25 Charles Town (USA) Race 4 (6f 110yds) Claiming
LADY’S LADY has been finishing closer to a win with each of her recent starts, latterly finding only one too strong at this venue last month over seven furlongs.
The The Lady’s Groom mare hasn’t struck paydirt for a while, but her last win did come from a much higher rating than this so she is surely capable of going close.
She has served notice in recent runs that her time to strike again might be near and this slight ease in trip will help so it wouldn’t come as a huge surprise to see her firmly in the mix here.
