Wednesday’s Daily Double – 21/1 double on the all-weather
Chris Loader combines his best two bets today into this Daily Double, covering races at Southwell and Kempton on Wednesday 12th February.
It was a frustrating day on Tuesday has none of our runners were able to get in contention on the card at Newcastle. It’s also been annoying that some interesting meetings have been cancelled due to the inclement weather and it doesn’t look like it change anytime soon with Hereford abandoned today.

Wednesday’s Daily Double
4.00 Southwell – Red Stripes
Red Stripes has been in really good form of late and is somewhat of a Southwell specialist. The last two races have been in higher grades and this class drop will help today. Furthermore he’s a prominent racer and that’s a style I like on the fibresand as it can be hard to come back from off the pace. The eight-year-old still remains on a competitive mark as he won off a two pound higher rating last September. If the cards play right I think he can get us off to a winning start.
6.30 Kempton – London Calling
It was a comfortable success for London Calling when winning last time out at Kempton. The jockey that day was Hollie Doyle and she came with a perfectly timed run to win going away. Therefore going up in trip to a mile should suit here. Today Ben Curtis is booked who’s a massive plus as he’s in the lead of the All Weather Jockeys Championship. The son of Requinto looks the type to have plenty of scope to improve and despite being a competitive affair and I expect him to edge out the win.
