Market Rasen

The brothers Skelton team up with four horses occasions, with Summer Hurdle favourite, LONGHOUSE SALE and BLAIR’S COVE boasting paeticularly strong chances.

While he may not boast the same amount of winners here at the likes of Frankie Dettori and James Doyle, PAUL HANAGAN’s strike rate of 20% is better only by the enigmatic Italian.

Hanagan will guide VENTURA REBEL into the Super Sprint Stakes for his boss Richard Hannon, who has won three of the past six renewal of this lucrative contest. It’s easy to see why he’s the hot-favourite.

Danny Tudhope is a regular in the winners' enclosure at Ripon.

MARK JOHNSTON has his horses in good form over the past couple of weeks and he boats an impressive record here on the July Course. Only Richard Hannon and Charlie Appleby have saddled more winners in recent season, but neither can match Johnston’s rate of profit, returning over £27 from a level £1 stake.

VICTORY COMMAND will fly the flag for Johnston in the feature handicap on tomorrow’s card, and he’s given Hong Kong-based jockey, Vincent Ho a chance to shine on his first venture to Britain.

With plenty of rides available at today’s televised meetings, only one thing would tempt title-chasing DANNY TUDHOPE to Ripon tomorrow. Winners!

Tudhope is one of the most inform jockey’s around and he’s ridden more winners here at Ripon than any other jockey over the last five seasons. STAR SHIELD in the handicap at 4:05pm should provide a valuable winning opportunity.

ROGER VARIAN boasts an impeccable strike record here at Doncaster. Four of the eleven runners he’s sent here have won this season and his strike record of 26% over the past five years is extremely good.

Varian has a runner in each of the two fillies’ maidens on Saturday, with QAADDIM his best chance of increasing that impressive winning percentage.

TOM DASCOMBE has had more winners here at Haydock than any other trainer over the past five years. The most impressive stat, however, is that Dascombe’s winners have return a staggering profit of £195 from a £1 level stake!

All three of his runners go in the novice stakes at 6:30pm, with GENEVER DRAGON making his first start on turf having finish seventh behind Pinatubo on his first start on the all-weather.
