Mujassam will bid to hand the in-form partnership of Danny Tudhope and David O’Meara another victory on Tuesday. The top-weight could have his work cut out trying to deny GABRIAL THE TIGER a second-straight victory in this race and a sixth triumph in eight starts around this tricky track.
Richard Fahey’s charge is the winning-most horse at this venue, storming to a comfortable victory over Jacob Black and another of Tuesday’s rivals, Donnelly’s Rainbow in this handicap 12 months ago. Gabrial The Tiger has been on the go non-stop since then, regularly recording wins on turf and on the all-weather and he comes into today’s contest on the back of a smart triumph at Chester, where he made all despite bursting out of an unfavourably wide stall.
The handicapper has bumped the seven-year-old back up to 73 following that win, but Gabriel The Tiger has won nicely offer marks of 72 and 74, plus, top-apprentice Sean Davis takes a valuable three pounds off his back. Fahey is one of the most successful trainers at Musselburgh and no horse boasts a better record here than Gabrial The Tiger.
