Miss Tynte is the strong favourite here, having scored on her first start following a wind op at Worcester last week. David Pipe’s mare will have to contend with a seven-pound penalty for that success and she was comfortably beaten off marks lower than this twice earlier in the season.
I feel that favourite is getable here and the one who stands out in opposition is ORGANDI (NAP). Richard Philips mare has improved with each of her starts over hurdles and it’s highly unlikely she’s reached her rating ceiling.
After finishing fourth on her jumping debut at Ludlow, Daniel Hiskett guided Organdi to a hard-fought victory in a decent novices’ hurdle at Taunton. After a couple of months off the track, Organdi ran well to place third on her handicap debut here at Uttoxeter, finishing behind Takingitallin and Slaine, who’s gone on to boost the form of that race with two victories of her own.
Philips then threw Organdi into mixed-sex company for the first time at Southwell last time out and Hiskett’s mount gave the boys a sound thrashing, jumping beautifully before easing to a 14-length success. A seven-pound rise for that bloodless triumph is certainly not excessive and Hiskett, who’s been in the saddle for both of Organdi’s victories, takes a valuable three-pounds off her back.
