Hugo Palmer’s Ghaith has made an encouraging start to his career on the all-weather, placing third and fourth on both his starts to date. The favourite has the edge over market rival PROMOTE, in terms of racing fitness. Yet, James Tate’s filly is drawn much better than Ghaith – who’s copped the widest gate in stall 13 – and she’ll be gaining three pounds on her rival as she makes her first start of the new season.

Promote kicked off here career with an impressive debut victory back in September, powering home to beat subsequent two-time winner, Shallow Hal on the all-weather at Newcastle. Tate’s mount then lost out under a penalty at Yarmouth on her second start. Promote was giving Hidden Message six-pounds when finishing second that day and the winner has gone on to boost the form of that race significantly by scoring in the Listed Coral Distaff earlier in the summer.

James Tate boasts an excellent 25% winning rate around Wolverhampton this season. He and jockey, PJ McDonald are striking at a superb 36% when they team up together, a percentage only Danny Tudhope and William Haggas can better. I expect Promote to bounce back to winning ways before moving onto bigger and better things.
