Close fifth in a useful conditions race at Ascot (5f, good to firm) and behind him that day was Dickensian who went on to be second in the Windsor Castle; disappointing that he couldn't justify odds-on at Windsor (6f, good; winner beaten since) but that debut run gives him strong claims here. |
