In good nick since handicapping this year and he gained due reward for a string of solid efforts when scoring at York (5.5f, good to firm) in July; also a fine third of 21 over that C&D (good to soft) a fortnight ago and he's hard to knock from the same mark. |

Well backed prior to his breakthrough C&D win 44 days ago and there was a lot to like about the way he knuckled down close home; that form hasn't really worked out but this 6lb higher mark may not be beyond him. |

0-8 but he has been banging at the door this year, placed four times between April and June; not at his best here (6f, good) four weeks ago but it was still a fair run and dropping back in trip won't hurt. |

He was stuck in the placings when running well this spring and again couldn't quite put it to bed when runner-up at Chester (6f, soft; acts on quicker) a fortnight ago; mark is creeping up but it would be no surprise to see him in the thick of it once more. |
