With tongue-tie enlisted he's hit major new heights for new yard this year, with two wins preceding his excellent fifth of 15 in the 2m2f Chester Cup; comes from off the pace but never got seriously involved wearing first-time cheekpieces when ninth of 20 as second favourite in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle (2m); needs to bounce back from that pretty disappointing show. |

Returned to form when making all in first-time cheekpieces (retained since) in a selling handicap over C&D (good to firm) last month; lost a shoe when down the field at Ayr (5f, good to firm) on Monday but this is a hotter race than the one he won here two starts ago and others are more compelling. |
