Form & Verdict
Had an excuse (ground not fast enough) last time when failing by a long way to complete Stewards' Cup double; made all at Ascot (6f, good to firm) in his other two British runs this term, including the Wokingham; very useful handicapper when conditions are ideal.

Over two years since he last ran on the AW but that made it 2-2 at Wolverhampton; won last year's Stewards' Cup and this year's Wokingham, so clearly a tip-top handicapper when on his game; found the ground too slow in last month's big handicap at Goodwood but his run back there last time is not so easily forgiven.

Sprang a 40-1 surprise in this race 12 months ago, making all to beat Apollo One with the stands' rail proving advantageous; unsuccessful stint in Bahrain early in the year saw his handicap mark ease and he's returned to Britain with a bang, making all at Ascot (6f, good to firm; strong tailwind) in May and repeating the dose in the Wokingham there six weeks ago; only 4lb higher and foolish to think he couldn't slip the field again.

Form & Verdict
Ex-Irish 4yo who is 0-7 for current stable but has been shaping well, most recently good third in the Stewards' Cup over C&D when looking suited by the step back up from 5f; clear possibilities off current mark kept to this trip and returned to rather calmer waters.

He's got back on track in a major way in 5f handicaps this spring, winning at Newmarket then impressively making all in a big field at York last week (both on good ground; effective on soft early in career); back up in grade this afternoon but this thriving 5yo could be capable of another bold bid.

Snapped a lengthy losing sequence when making virtually all to win at Newmarket (5f, good) last month on his reappearance; he needs to back up that performance but did it comfortably last time and, following a 5lb rise, remains well treated on his historic exploits; a possible.

Form & Verdict
Unexposed 3yo who has raced only four times; gained his maiden win on AW, producing a useful RPR; ran creditably in Shergar Cup event at Ascot (good to firm) most recently, while leaving the impression this return to a sharper 6f will suit; respected.

Won two 6f events last summer, notably a Goodwood handicap (good to to firm; RPR 106) in August; not at the same level in the Ayr Gold Cup when last seen but there should be more to come this year.

Unexposed 3yo; solid effort when third in a Shergar Cup sprint last month and made no mistake in a small field at Goodwood four weeks ago (also 6f, good to firm); penalty in a stronger race asks a big question of him, even though 2lb well in, and this will be the slowest ground he's tackled.

Form & Verdict
Record is only 1-12 and it's two years since the success (6f); however, ran encouragingly at Hamilton (5f; beaten two necks) this month in second start for new yard; remains well handicapped on peak figures, which were achieved at Listed/Group level; interesting.

Smart on his day, as when close up in a Group 3 at Newbury (7f, good to soft) in April 2024; showed he was sharp enough for 5f when going down in a tight finish at Hamilton (good; four ran) in August and although below that level since he'll be suited by a return to good to soft ground in this lower grade than of late; has run well in a visor and it's now refitted.

Appeared to run well when a close third at Hamilton last month but that effort is sandwiched by two lesser efforts; down in the weights but stable may have stronger claims with Democracy Dilemma.

Form & Verdict
Still has a much better strike-rate on AW than on turf but bagged a major prize in this sphere last weekend, making all in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon (6f, good to firm); the 8yo is back on a tougher mark but can't be dismissed in current form.

Form & Verdict
Belied his 80-1 odds with second-place finish in Racing League contest on AW three days ago but isn't certain to back up that effort, having underperformed markedly on turf otherwise for current stable; admittedly was useful on grass in France.

Consistency an issue but he has plenty of ability and he is 5lb lower than when last in action on turf, a race where he chased home a promising sprinter at York (6f, good); below par on AW on last two starts but given a three-month break.
